Chapter 51: Fresh Start (END)

Y/N's POV

I slowly wake up and open my eyes. I look around and realize I am on a bed. Next to me on another bed is Jungkook. I sit up and there I see Amber. She sits on a chair as if she has been waiting for us to wake up.

I look around and realize that Jungkook is the only one here. I see another man and on his arm he has a badge of the Butterflies.

Jungkook slowly wakes up. "Okay, now that you are both awake, I just want to thank you guys for bringing Ellie here safe." I look over at Amber.

"Where is Ellie and the others!?" I ask her in a serious tone.

"They are fine. They are actually waiting for you guys outside. I am sorry about the tranquilizer. My men weren't sure who you guys were. We had gotten word about a group of people and a girl. I sent my men out to find them." Amber explains to us.

"How did you manage to get here before us?" Jungkook asks.

"Good question. I nearly lost my entire men while crossing the country. But here you guys are, alive." Amber says while giving off a calm vibe.

"What about Ellie? Can I see her?" I ask while getting off the bed.

Amber stands up and puts her hands in front of her to stop me. "Sorry, but she is being prepared for surgery." My eyes widen.

"What!? Why!?" I say while raising my voice loudly.

"The bacteria that makes her immune has made its way to her brain. There is no other options for her." Amber explains to me.

"So you are just going to kill her?" Anger begins taking over me. "Do you not care for her?"

"Of course I do!" Amber shouts back. Jungkook stands behind me. It seems that he is ready to hold me back from fighting Amber.

"I promised her mother that I would protect her. But now this is the only choice now." I scoff at her words. Only choice? Humanity is long gone. No point trying to save them. This world is a cruel, greedy, selfish place. They took my everything away.

"You guys have to leave now." Amber says. She then turns to a man next to her. "Escort them out." She walks to the door, but stops. "Don't you think Ellie would have chosen this path anyways?" She then left.

I want to cry and scream, but I won't. The man grabs me and Jungkook by our arms and walks out. The moment we get out of the room I see our backpacks on a counter. I smirk.

I stop walking causing the man to stop as well. He jerks my arm giving me mobility to move my arm and elbow him in the stomach. He falls to the ground and I knee him in the face.

I pick up my backpack and put it on. I threw Jungkook's his. I pull out my gun and aim it at the man. He slowly gets up and I shoot him right in his waist.

"Where is the surgery room?" I question him.

He grunts. "Ain't saying shit." I then shoot him in his 'special' area. He yells.

"Next one will be right between you eyes." I say in a dark tone.

"D-d-down t-th-the hallway. M-mak-make a-a left." I smirk.

"No need for you now." I say. I smile and shoot him right between his eyes. "I told you. Right between the eyes."

I look at Jungkook and nod my head. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asks me.

I look at him, dead straight in the eyes. "This world took my everything. Now I am going to do the same for them. I'm going to take their everything."
