Chapter 44: Joy

Taehyung's POV

I look at Y/N and see her looking out of it. "What's on your mind?" I ask her.

"Oh, nothing." She says waving her hands in front of her.

I sit on the snow and play with it. "To be honest with you, I am bored," I tell Y/N which surprises her.

"What? You're bored? We finally get to rest from fighting and almost dying at times. And you are bored?" Y/N tells me.

I stand up and face away from her. "Yup. That is right." I quickly turn around and throw the snowball at her.

I laugh and the next thing I know, I get a snowball to the face. I hear Y/N laughing at me.

"So this is how you wanna play, huh?" I say while quickly making a snowball. "You better run," I tell her.

"Oh shoot." She says before running away from me. We made sure we didn't run too far off by making sure that we could still see a bit of light from the campground.

I hide behind a tree waiting for Y/N. I feel the excitement running through me at this moment. "Tae Tae." I hear Y/N say my name.

I smile and feel my heartbeat quickly when she called me that just now. "Why do you have this effect on me?" I whisper to myself.

I finally see her walking around and I quickly run to her and throw my snowball. "Hey!" She says. I laugh at her because I aimed right at her face.

She then tackles me to the ground and starts throwing snow at me. After she is done she looks at me and laughs. I laugh, but soon realize that she is sitting on me.

I blush. "You know, I'm not a chair," I tell her.

She realizes what she is doing and stands up. "Sorry, I didn't realize I was sitting on you."

I sit up and grab her hand and pull her down to me. I hug her and we both lay in the snow.

"You threw snow at me making me cold. So now you have to make up for that by warming me up." I explain to her.

"Hey! You threw snow at me too. I am just as cold as you." She tells me.

I laugh and snuggle up with her. "Then stay like this with me, just for a bit," I ask her. She nods her head and we both look up at the sky.

"What a beautiful night it is," I tell her. The stars are shining brightly tonight.

"It is." Y/N says.

After a bit of quietness, Y/N breaks the silence.

"Tae?" She asks.

"Hmm." I hum out. Still looking at the stars.

"Thank you." She says which surprises me.

I sit up causing her to sit up as well. "Why do you say that?" I ask.

She looks down for a bit before looking back at me. "I had a crazy day today and my emotions have been all over the place. And just now, you let me forget all my worries. I finally feel a peace that I haven't felt in the longest time."

I stand up offering my hand to her. She takes it and stands up. I hold her hand and speak. "It means a lot to me that I can make you feel better. I won't ask what is wrong because it's none of my business, but I want you to remember that I am always here for you. I have two ears just for you." I say smiling widely.

She then surprises me by hugging me. "Thank you. For everything Tae." I smile softly and hug her back.

"Anything for you," I respond.

Soon after that, we made our way back to everyone else. "Why are you guys wet?" Namjoon hyung asks.

"We kind of played with the snow and then laid in it," I say shyly.

"Are you guys trying to get sick." Jin hyung asks us.

"Sorry." Me and Y/N say at the same time. We both look down and look at each other and laugh.

"Come sit down. You guys need to warm yourselves up." Jimin hyung tells us. We sit by him and get warm by the fire.

"After your done. Hyung wants to talk to you." Jimin hyung tells Y/N.

"Well, which one?" She asks.

Jimin hyung points at who and she smiles while nodding her head. "Okay." We began talking to each other before Y/N decided to go and talk to Hyung.

"Let's go." She tells him.

"Okay, I'm ready," Hyung says before both of them leave.

I look up at the night sky and smile. You do shine brightly Y/N. Thank you for bringing joy into my life.
