Chapter 17: Infected Neighborhood

Jungkook's POV

I am still a bit emotional from seeing V hyung. I am just so happy to see that he has endured all of this. Perhaps helping the Butterflies is not a bad idea after all.

I am behind everyone else when V hyung came up to me. "Who is she?" He asks me, pointing to Y/N.

"She is my friend. I met her the day we all split up. She is a trustworthy person." I reply to him in English. I don't know why, but I just find myself preferring to speak English now. He just nods his head.

We enter a huge neighborhood. "You weren't kidding, this place is infested with Clickers and Runners." Y/N whispers. She is right, this place looks horrible. Good thing there are fences everywhere so we can hide behind them.

"Yeah, so lets hurry to the school and get out of here." Yoongi hyung says.

We start to crouch and slowly go around some of the Runners. Freddy quietly says, "Let's check out that house." We slowly make our way to the house in front of us and hop in through the window. The glass windows are all gone. Someone must have smashed them. I start to look around the house and find some clips and mags. Hobi hyung found some arrows on the floor. We quietly leave the house, but a Runner saw us. Crap, I forgot that they can see. It starts to screech and more Runners start to come after us. We all were trying to shoot them while Hobi hyung was behind us with his bow and arrow.

"Stand back guys!" Y/N yells. She has a Molotov Cocktail in her hand. We take a few steps back and she throws it at the crowd of Infected. They all burned to their 2nd death.

"Good job Y/N." Hobi hyung says while patting her back.

She smiles, "Thanks, let's go."

"Guys, we need to get to the backyard of the house behind this one. The school will be there." Freddy informs us. I must be really skinny now. All of this is a real workout. We went through a house to hop the fence to get to the backyard of the other house.

"I'm exhausted!" Ellie says while sighing.

"Well deal with it. Once we get the car you are free to rest." Freddy says. True, I am pulling my last legs here. I want to get this over with already. We walk into the house and search for canned food. After we found 2 we make our way to the porch in the front of the house. There is the school.

"Do you hear that?" Ellie asks. "They are moaning." She's right. By the sound of it, it seemed like there are a lot.

"We need to get to the building on the side of the school since that is where the battery will be." Freddy tells us. "We just need to get over that fence on the side, but the problem is that the fence is high and we won't have time to climb it with the Runners hot on our trail." He mentions. I start scanning the area for something when Ellie speaks up.

"I see a ladder on top of the bus right in front of the fence. If someone can help me up I can bring it down so you guys can get on the bus and jump to the other side." She is a lot smarter than she looks, I give her that.

"Okay then, let's go," Freddy says.

We quietly make our way to the bus. Once we get to the bus, Hobi hyung gives her a lift up, but as she was trying to pull herself up her leg slipped and hit the bus making a loud sound. She gets on top, but a horde of Runners starts running towards us. "Ellie stay up there while we take care of these first." Y/N tells Ellie.

Hobi hyung had Yoongi hyung's back; V hyung had Freddy's back and Y/N had mine. They then started to attack us. We would shoot, but at the same time, we would use our hands because we didn't want to waste our ammo. We finally got them all and tell Ellie to bring down the ladder.

We one at a time climb the ladder. "Jump across the fence," Freddy says and we follow his instructions. Once we all get down I hear more Runners coming. I swear there are too many here. Hobi hyung tries opening the door.

"It's locked!" Hobi Hyung shouts.

"Over here! The window is opened. HURRY!" Yoongi hyung shouts. We ran as quick as we could. We got on top of the dumpster and made our way in.

"Y/N HURRY!" I shout at her. She got on top of the dumpster, but a Clicker got on top of her.

"Get off!" She yells. She was holding it by its throat. She grabbed enough strength to push it off. She then makes her way in and Ellie starts closing the window while I shot the Clicker in its face.

"The window won't hold," Ellie says.

Me and V hyung quickly took a bookshelf and placed it in front of the door that they were trying to break down. Freddy saw the vehicle and popped the hood open. "Here it is!" He says. He pulls it out and signals V hyung to come towards him. He places the battery in his backpack. "Now let's go!" He yells.
