chapter 35: University

Hobi's POV

Jin hyung is sitting behind me on the horse and he wont stop talking. As we travel we stop at the edge of a hill. We look down and see a neighborhood.

"On the map, Xander says that the lab is all the way out. University of Eastern Colorado. It might take us a while, but we will get there." Y/N informs us. "He also says that they are located in the science building."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." Namjoon says.

~~~~~1 day later~~~~~

"So this is the University of Eastern Colorado?" Jungkook asks. "It's a dump." He points out the fact that the place is over run by nature.

Y/N jumps off her horse and holds the reigns. "This University is pretty big, so lets see what we can find." She says as Jimin jumps off his horse.

"Onward my peasents." Jimin says to us. We all quickly look at him and send glares in his direction. "Ha. Sorry." He says while scratching the back of his neck.

We enter the University and look around the campus. We slowly made our way to the science building. "Why is this place so big?" I whine.

"Its a University. What did you expect?" Jin hyung tells me. I just roll my eyes.

"Look, the school sign says that the science building is just a forward." Ellie points out. We soon began to walk that direction. We stop at the stairs we need to go down because Tae shouts at us.

"Look, monkeys!" We look down at the little are to see a few monkey roaming around. "Could they be lab monkeys?" He asks.

Namjoon then answers him. "Most likely. Let's just keep going." We go down the stairs with our horses which scares the monkeys making them leave. As we travel the area we found a small base area that has tents.

"I'm suprised that we haven't seen anyone yet." Yoongi hyung says.

"Look, the science building. Let's check it out. Perhaps they are there." Y/N tells us.

Once we got to the building, we left our horses outside. We tried our best to hide them, but still close by.

We got inside and began exploring. We slowly made our way to the second floor and found nothing. "Hello. Butterflies. The cure for mankind is here." Ellie shouts out.

Jin hyung then turns to her. "Shh. We don't know what's going on here." Ellie nods her head in understanding while Namjoon and Jimin look at me a bit confused at her statement.

"I'll tell you guys later." I say quietly. We then began to head towards the staircases to head to the 3rd floor when we heard noises. "Guys, did you hear that?" I asks.

"Yeah. Stay quiet. We don't know who it could be." Jungkook tells us. We nod our head and slowly head up the stairs. Once we got up to the 3rd floor, we began going through the classrooms. There wasn't much in them.

We then enter a classroom and to our surprise there were monkeys in them. I jump and fall on my butt from being startled. Everyone shushed me.

"Sorry." I say getting up. The monkeys ran into another room as we enter the room.

"Where are they? Did they do so much research that they turned into monkeys?" Ellie says with annoyance.

As we look around, I see a glass door with a body inside. The body was just a skeleton at this point. The thing that really caught my attention was the clothing. The jacket the body is wearing has the symbol of the Butterflies. "Guys, come and look." They all came to me as I open the door. "Look, a tape recorder."

Y/N walks over to it and plays it.

"If you are looking for the Butterflies then they are long gone." The man's voice was raspy.

"Yeah, no shit." Ellie says while scoffing. I look at her and shake my head.

"I'll be dead soon." Y/N began skipping until she found something useful. "They all returned to St. Mary's Hospital in Salt Lake City. They are still trying to save the world." Y/N looks up with shock written all over her face.

"Is it far?" Ellie asks snapping Y/N out of her little trance. She then looks out the window right infront of her.

"Well, it's not close, even by horseback." She replies. She then squints her eyes as she looks out.

"What's wrong?" Jin hyung asks. I look out and see flashes of light.

"Duck!" She yells to us. We do what she tells us to and the next thing we know the window is being shot at.

"What the? The Butterflies?" Ellie asks.

"I don't know, but we need to leave." Y/N says as she leads us out of the room.
