Chapter 25: Allies

Jungkook's POV

We made our way out of the storage unit. I am so done with this, but at the same time, I don't regret deciding to go through with it. Through this, I was able to reunite with my Hyungs.

We travel through the neighborhood. There are townhouses everywhere. There are at least two parks here. "I stayed at a place like this before, back in Boston QZ," Ellie says, standing in front of a private school. Or I think that was what it was. It's very small. 

"Military Preparatory School." Y/N reads out loud.

"Yeah, what a nice way of saying orphanage. I wonder what happened to these children?" Ellie tells us. I really wonder what is her life story. We continue our walk in silence after that.

After a while, we begin heading inside a building. We walk up the stairs on the side of the building to get in, I being the first one to enter. As I was making my way in I felt a hand grab me, causing me to be pulled inside the building. The person jumps on my back attacking me. I struggle to free myself from the man. 

"Get off of me!" The man tightens his grip around my neck, choking me even more. Everyone enters the room, from the corner of my eye, I see V Hyung and Yoongi Hyung rushing towards me to pull the stranger off of me, but with a quick thought, I shove my back into the wall. The man yells in pain. I  swiftly brought him down to the floor sending multiple punches to the man's face.

"Jungkook stop! Kookie!" I hear Y/N's voice and I immediately stop. I turn around and face the doorway. I see a boy around Ellie's age pointing a gun at. 

"Let him go." The kid says in a stern voice. I slowly get up.

"Calm down kid."

"Don't worry, they are not the bad guys. You can lower the weapon." The man that I just beat up says as he slowly gets up. I turn towards the strange man and give him a confused look because he literally tried to kill me. I face the boy and he lowers his gun.

"You hit hard." The man says. 

I scratch the back of my neck. "Well, I was trying to kill you."

"I thought you guys were one of them. That was until I saw her." He points to Ellie. "If you haven't noticed. They don't keep kids with them. Survival of the fittest I guess." 

That's true, I did notice that there were no kids or really any women. "I'm Henry and that kid is Sam. We also have another partner, but he is at our hideout making food. His name is Seokjin. And your guy's names?" 

Shock writes over my face that moment he says  Jin Hyung's name. I couldn't answer the man. I just hope that it is our Jin Hyung.

"I'm Y/N. This is Ellie, Taehyung, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jungkook." Y/N speaks up, probably because she notices the shock written not only on my face but the others as well.

Henry then speaks up. "We use to be more. We decided to enter the city for supplies, but those people ambushed us. It scattered us and now we are trying to escape."

"Let's work together. Safer in size." Ellie replies. Well if it is Jin Hyung then I am okay with it. 

"Okay," I say.

"Well, let's go to our hideout," Henry tells us.

We leave the apartment building and Ellie begins to talk to the boy. She must feel happy to have found someone her own age.

~~~~~Mini Time Skip~~~~~

We make it to Henry's hideout. We make our way to the 4th floor, and let me tell you, this place is pretty big. I get the feeling that this place was once a business operation. We stop at two double doors. Henry unlocks it and welcomes us. "Welcome to my office," 

I am the first to step in and the moment I enter I see someone who brings instant joy to my heart. "Jin Hyung..." I say in a whisper.

"Hyung?" V Hyung questions in a more of a surprised tone. 

"Jungkook? Taehyung? Hoseok? Yoongi?" Jin Hyung looks at all of us with a happy look yet tears begin to pour out of his eyes. He runs towards us with his arms stretched out wide and hugs us all.

After a few tears being shed with our little reunion, we decide to talk about a plan while eating. "So where were you guys headed?" Y/N asks. She's sitting in between me and Hobi Hyung. 

"Well, we heard that the Butterflies are somewhere West. We are planning on joining." I notice Hobi Hyung and Yoongi Hyung both tense up. I know they are part of the Butterflies, but I remember that they once told us that they hated it and they want to get this last job done and never work with them again. 

"We are looking for them too." Y/N responds back.

"Then tonight we hit the bridge," Henry says. He stands up and heads over to look out through the window. We were pretty much across the street from the entrance we need to get through which should give us the upper hand of making it through to the other side. 

"They have less security at night. You in?" He questions us all as he faces us once more. We all look at each other as if we are talking to each other through our minds. We face Henry again and nod our heads in agreement.

"Great, let's rest up so we can be ready for tonight then," Henry tells us.
