Chapter 43: Touch

ᵀʰⁱˢ ⁱˢ ᵃ ᶠⁱˡˡᵉʳ ᶜʰᵃᵖᵗᵉʳ. ᵀᵉᶜʰⁿⁱᶜᵃˡˡʸ, ᵗʰⁱˢ ʷᵒⁿ'ᵗ ᵃᶠᶠᵉᶜᵗ ᵗʰᵉ ᵐᵃⁱⁿ ˢᵗᵒʳʸˡⁱⁿᵉ. ᵀʰⁱˢ ⁱˢ ᵖᵘᵗ ʰᵉʳᵉ ᵗᵒ ᵃᵈᵈ ᵐᵒʳᵉ ᶜʰᵃᵖᵗᵉʳˢ ᵇᵉᶠᵒʳᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᵉⁿᵈ ᵒᶠ ᵗʰᵉ ᵇᵒᵒᵏ.

Yoongi's POV

Y/N stops walking and leans on a tree. "I'm curious. Why do you all want to talk to me alone? Is this some type of intervention?" I laugh and shake my head.

"No. Think of it as a way for us to get to know you better. We all know each other, but you, not so much." She nods her head in understanding.

"Well, there not much to it then. I came to Boston when I was 14 with my family and then they died. My dad was the last to die. He tried saving me, but some military dude killed him. That was the moment I met Jungkook and soon after that we met Xander." Y/N tells me while looking down at the ground.

"I'm sorry about your family," I tell her while standing next to her. She shrugs and smiles.

"But now all of you guys are my family. So thank you for that." She says smiling at me. I smile and look away.

"You know, you mean a lot to everyone here. I hope you know that." I say to her while looking at the moon. It's a full moon today.

"Aww. Thanks, you guys mean a lot to me as well." She tells me while nudging me.

I laugh along with her.

"Yeah. I never really show my true feelings to people I don't know or trust, but with you, I feel like I can be myself." I confess while feeling a bit nervous saying that.

"Really? Well, that's nice to hear. You guys are amazing friends to have. You know, the Butterflies are hiding in my home state. I kinda want to visit my home." Y/N states to me.

"Is that why you were shocked when the recording said Salt Lake?" I ask her.

She looks like me with a surprise. "You saw that?" She tells me.

I chuckle. "I notice a lot, especially from you," I say while rubbing the back of my neck.

"Haha! I guess I am not as discreet as I thought." She laughs. I look at her and smile. Seeing her this happy brings joy to me. I feel like doing something that I might regret later.

"Hey, I think we should go back. I smell food." Y/N says. She turns around and begins walking back. I grab her wrist and she turns around.

I quickly pull her close to me and in an instant put my hand on the back of her head and kiss her. She just stands frozen, but I don't care.

Once I pull away from her I see her eyes widen. She looks speechless. I back away from her a bit and she slowly covers her lips. "I, um, think we should, um, go back now." She turns and walks away. I follow behind her.

Once we got to everyone Y/N quickly sits down next to Hoseok. "Is the food done?" Y/N asks Jin hyung as I go and sit down next to Jungkook who is across from Y/N.

"Yes. Hey Tae, can you help pass out the food?" Jin hyung asks him.

"Sure." He then began passing the food out. I got mine and saw that it was a meat soup. I began eating and saw Y/N eat her food slowly while looking deep into the fire.

"What happened between you and Y/N? She looks quieter." Jungkook asks me quietly.

I look down into the firepit and smile a bit. "Nothing much. Just a life talk."

Soon after we all finished eating Y/N stood up. "So, who's next?" She says seriously.

"It's me!" I look over to see who it is.

"Be careful," I say.

"Don't worry Hyung. We'll be fine." And with that, the two left.

I look back at the fire. In all honesty, I don't regret what I did. The only problem is making sure nothing is awkward between us.

I smile at the fire remembering what I just did.
