~Chapter 13~
I looked at myself in the mirror to triple check how I look before I go to the interview. Max sent me the details this morning. He said that we will be doing a video interview that will be posted on Tiger Beat's website. My mom helped me get ready this morning. She has a little more fashion sense then I do. If it was up to me I would have pulled on jeans, an old tee, and a knitted beanie hat.
I was wearing a black coat with gold buttons over a black dress and black tights. I was also wearing brown heels. As much as my mom tried to talk me out of it I wouldn't leave the house without my yellow knitted beanie hat. I know it sounds like a lot of black, but the yellow from my hat and the brown from my shoes really ties it together. I was wearing a little more makeup then usual. I had dark black eyeliner, dark mascara, and red lipstick. I thought I looked okay. I swear, if my mom wasn't a cook, she'd be a stylist!
"You look amazing Mary!" Sarah said looking up from her cereal bowl as I walked into the room. She was sitting on the couch, hunched over a bowl of cereal watching How To Rock.
"Thanks Sarah. You don't ever get tired of that show do you?"
"Heck no! Max is amazing!"
"I know he is." I smiled. My mom doesn't know what happened between Max and I last night. To be honest, I don't even know what happened between us. I think we're a thing. But I don't know. We might just be friends.
I looked at the clock on the cable box. It was 7:45 am. I needed to meet Max outside my building at 8. I kissed my mom and sister goodbye and hurried downstairs. He was standing right outside the front doors leaning against the wall. He looked like he was a model in what he was wearing. That's when I remembered, he was a model. His outfit was probably put together by Dolce & Gabbana. It looked like one that he was wearing in an ad.
He was wearing black jeans, dress shoes, a button up grey and white striped shirt, a black vest, and a grey tie tucked into the vest. His sleeves were rolled up and his hands were in his pockets. Lastly he had his ukulele strung over his back.
"Hey," he said, giving me the up in down looking at my outfit.
"Hey."
"You look little dressier than usual. I like it," he offered me an arm and I linked mine through his and we began to walk.
"Thanks, you look great."
"It's Dolce & Gabbana."
"I can tell. So where are we going?"
"We are supposed to meet them on our bench at Central Park for a photo shoot before the interview."
"Okay," I looked down at my feet as we walked. "Max, what are we gonna tell them?"
"The truth."
"Which is?"
"That WE," he gestured to us, "Are Hollywoods hottest couple."
"But how will that help our paparazzi situation?"
"It won't. But I have been thinking. Maybe it is time for a change."
"Maybe it is. But when are you leaving to go back to L.A.? You have already been here for like a month. You have to go back at some point."
"Well, I'm not currently working on any movies, and I'm between filming seasons for How To Rock. So I'm just staying as long as I can. My tour ended here, as you probably know, so I really don't have any plans except for one in a month. But I will come back after it." He slid his arm out of mine and held my hand. We continued to walk and talk.
