~Chapter 22~
"Are you 1,000% sure you don't want me to recommend you to the producers?" Max asked me while we pulled up in a cab at the filimg studio for the auditions.
"Yes I'm sure. If I get this part I want to know it was all talent and that it wasn't just your recommendation that got me it," I replied as we stepped out of the cab.
"Okay then. Good luck on the audition," He said giving me a quick hug.
"I'm sure I'm gonna need it."
"Just pretend it's only you and me. You'll do fine."
"I will, thanks."
"No prob! Seeya later!" Max waved goodbye and ran through the back entrance to the building. I walked around to the other side and went through the front enterance.
There were a lot of other girls here. Some of them I recognized from other Nickelodeon shows. There were a couple actresses I have seen before. Such as Nathalia Ramos from House of Anubis, Erin Sanders from Big Time Rush, and Keke Palmer from True Jackson V.P. and Rags. There were also a lot of new people to the business, such as myself. I highly doubt that they will cast a newbie instead of a familiar actress. My chance of getting this part just decreased 25% out of the %50 chanc I already had.
I looked up as Elizabeth Gillies sat down next to me. "Hi, I'm Mary," I shyly said to her.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Liz. You look famliar have I seen you before?" She responded politely.
"Um maybe, I have been in a few magazines recently with Max."
"Oh Max Scheider! You're his girlfriend? I knew you looked familiar. It's great to meet you, I worked with Max in the musical 13. He was always really sweet, like an older brother to me!" Liz smiled. She was really sweet, I don't know why I expected her to be mean like her character Jade on the show 'Victorious'.
"I remember seeing you in that musical! You did a really good job," I complemented her.
"Thanks, I didn't do to hot on this audition though," she sighed.
"Why not? What happened?"
"They said that since I play a role as a mean girl on another show and this part needs to be played by a sweet and nice actress."
"You are really sweet and nice. What are you talking about?"
"Have you heard of typecasting?" she asked me.
"No what's that?" I replied, very confused.
"It's when an actor already has that mood set for them, due to a previous role they played. So the chances aren't very high for me to get this role," she explained.
"Oh I'm sorry!" I appologized, feeling bad for her even though I was auditioning for the same role.
"No it's alright. I hope you get the role. I'm sure Max would be much more comfortable kissing you then another actress on T.V."
This kind of made me jealous. What if I don't get the part? I don't want another actress kissing MY boyfriend, even if it's just acting. "Thanks."
"Next up is Marissa Addams," a woman with a clip board called, stanfing by the door to the audition room.
"Good luck!" Liz called after me as I walked towards the door.
"Thanks!" I responded. I'm gonna need it.
