~Chapter 26~

"How do I look?" I asked Max twirling in a circle.

"Beautiful as usual," Max replied. I blushed and he smiled.

I turned around to face the mirror behind me. I was wearing a black and white striped shirt that hung off of both shoulders, with a bright red waist skirt. On my feet I was wearing black heels. I felt Max stand behind me and wrap his arms around me. He rested his chin on my shoulder, and we stood there looking at us in the mirror.

"You're the most beautiful girl in the world Mary," Max said.

"Well I'm probably the luckiest too," I replied.

"Why's that?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"Because I have you," I smiled and he kissed me on the cheek.

"We better get going if we are gonna be at the restaurant in time," Max told me, releasing his grip around me.

"Where and why are we going again?" I asked.

"You're gonna meet with the full cast for dinner and we are going to do a script reading."

"Do you think my outfit is fancy enough? Yours looks dressier than mine-" I started to babble on nervous about what the other cast members would think of me.

"Mary you look fine. Let's get outta here before you start worrying about anything else," he cut me off. He linked my arm through his and pulled us out of the appartment. I grabbed my brown fake leather purse on the way out the door.

As soon as we left the heavily secured appartment building Max and I lived in, we were surrounded by a mob of paparazzi. the bright flashes of cameras blinded us. Instead of fighting the cameras and trying to push through the crowd, I stood up straight and smiled. I posed and smiled for the cameras, Max followed my lead and did the same.

Eventually the crowd of paparazzi thinned out and it was mostly just fans left. We signed autographs as quickly as we could and continued on our walk to the restaurant. It was only within a block from our appartment so we decided to walk. When we got there we didn't even have to speak to the host at the front. She knew who we were and why we were there.

"Follow me please," the host said. We followed her as she led us through the crowded restaurant and to the back wear the rest of the cast and a few producers and directors were seated. The area was marked off by red velvet ropes and labled as V.I.P by a big sign. There was a big security guard by the entrance to the area, he let us in without even one question.

"Hey Max!" Said Lulu Antariksa, who plays Stevie. "Who's the friend?"

"Guys this is Marissa Addams, our new cast member," Max introduced me to the group.

"I'm Lulu, nice to meet you Marissa!" Lulu smiled and shook my hand.

"You guys can call me Mary," I replied, taking my seat next to Max.

"Mary. I like that. I'm Christopher O'Neal," the guy who plays Kevin introduced himself. "Call me Chris."

I smiled and nodded in reply.

"And I'm Noah Crawford," the long haired boy who plays Nelson added. I nodded and gave a small wave.

"I'm Cymphoniqe Miller," the girl who plays Kasey told me, giving me a handshake.

"I'm Samantha Boscarino, call me Sam. I think we met at the auditions though. You did really good by the way!" the tall brunette who plays Molly said.

"Thanks, you're a good actress too!" I smiled and returned the comliment.

"I'm Halston Sage," the girl who plays Grace waved to me, and I waved back.
