~Chapter 27~

"No I was doing it right! It was Mary who screwed it up!" Sam yelled. We were in the middle of filming scene 2 of the first episode in the season when Sam started to complain about everything I did. The rest of the cast and extras stood there watching Sam as she fought with the director.

"She is no good at this! She is an amatuer! Mary has no clue what she is doing and I'm shocked you even hired her!" Sam yelled. We had shot this scene seven times so far and Sam had messed it up each time, blaming it on me.

"I'll have a talk with her later, right now we need to shoot this scene! Places everybody!" David commanded.

I went back to my assigned place. We filmed the scene with out any problems for the first time today.

"Let's take five!" Jim said.

As soon as we were dismissed I ran to my dressing room and slammed the door behind me. I barely made it to my chair before the tears started pouring out. This is not what I wanted to happen, it's not what I expected either. We had gotten along so well the past week. I don't know what has happened. I gave up trying to hold back my tears and I began to sob.

I heard the door to my dressing room slide open and then closed.

"Go away!" I said, not bothering to see who it was.

"Marissa are you okay?" Someone put a hand on my back trying to comfort me. I snuck a peek up and saw that it was Lulu.

"Not really. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I guess I didn't expect this type of drama off camera," I told her between sobs.

"Nobody said it was going to be easy Mary. And this is Hollywood, you should know to expect drama by now," Lulu sighed.

"You're right, I just got so caught up in the glam, and the fame, and the special treatment I kinda let it go to my head. I felt as if there were no imperfections in life, or at least not in mine."

"Nobody's perfect Mary. Remember that." Lulu gave me a hug before heading out of my dressing room. As soon as she stepped out I heard her conversing with someone outside. I walked over to my dressing table and sat down in the chair in front of it. I looked at myself, my makeup stayed in one piece throught my breakdown session. I guess they expected tears where as I certainly didn't. As soon as the voices faded from the hall my door opened again.

"Baby are you alright?" Max asked me, walking over to stand behind me.

"Yeah I'm fine, Lulu helped calm me down," I sighed.

"That's good, I was just talking to her a minute ago. Sorry I couldn't get down here faster, I had to go over some stuff with Jim and David," Max appologized.

"It's okay. I'm much better now," I replied. I got out of my chair and turned to face Max. He held my hands in his then bent down and kissed me.

"Let's get back to the set, I have a feeling it's been more than five minutes," I told him.

"Okay babe," Max took me by one hand and led me back to the set.

When we got there Halston walked up to us. "I'm sorry about Sam, she can get a little short tempered sometimes," She said.

"It's fine, really," I replied. As we walked farther into the set we were greeted by Chris and Noah.

"You know, if you ever need a shoulder to cry on I'm here!" Chris said.

"First of all, thanks Chris, but I already have one," I replied looking up at Max who was standing beside me. "And second of all, that was a pretty bad pickup line."

"Come on Mary," Max said, suddenly wrapping an arm around my waist and protectively pulling me closer.

"Really Max? You two are just dating on the show," Chris called after us as we began to walk away. "It is just on the show right? Guys?"

Max laughed as we walked to the center of the set. "Someone's a little jealous!" I teased him.

"I'm so not, I'm not the jealous type!" Max protested.

"Sure you're not," I rolled my eyes.

"Fine maybe just a little."

"A little?"

"Okay a lot."

"That's better," I laughed. "We've already filmed scenes 1 , 2, & 3. Our scene is up next."

"Yeah, I got to go get ready. You should too," Max replied. "I'll see you in a few minutes."

"Seeya!" I called after him.

Just then over the studio intercom I heard someone say, "Actor's please report to dressing rooms, we will have a stylist meet you there to prepare you in the next outfit." I made my way back to my dressing room, and studied my script for the next scene while waiting for a stylist.

"Ms. Addams?" A woman in her 50's called into my dressing room, standing at the doorway.

"Come in!" I called.

"How are you today honey?" The lady asked me while going through a rack of outfits hanging on my dressing room wall.

"I'm okay, and you?" I answered.

"I'm good, thank you. I am Jane Rosen. I am your new stylist, your other stylist now works for Max, and I will be working with you," she said.

"Okay. Why did we switch though?" I asked.

"Jim and David decided it was better to have a woman work with you and a man work with Max. It must have been a little awkward changing in front of him."

"Yeah, kind of," I admitted.

"So here's your outfit for today." Jane handed me a light pink dress. It was fitted at the top, and went out at the hip. She also handed me a pair of silver shoes. I slid the dress and shoes on. I turned to face Jane when I was done.

"Let me fix one thing," she walked over to me and pulled the hair tie out of my hair. It fell past my shoulders in long blonde curls. "There," Jane said. She fluffed my curls a little and reapplied my make up. "All done. Now go get back to set."

"Thanks Jane!" I gave her a hug and ran to the set. The rest of the cast started to appear one by one in their new outfits.

"Are we ready?" Jim asked us. We all nodded in reply. "Okay places everybody!" Jim shouted. "From the top, and ACTION!" He yelled, snapping the clap board in front of the camera.
