~Chapter 15~
"Mary? Mary, wake up!" I opened my eyes to see Max sitting on the chair across from the couch. He was wearing a completely different outfit then what he was wearing earlier.
"What time is it?" I asked, sitting up.
"9:45 am," he answered as if it were nothing.
"AM? What on earth happened?" I asked standing up and realizing I was in the living room, not my bed room.
"You fell asleep yesterday when we were watching T.V."
I looked down and noticed I was wearing the same clothes I had on for the interview.
"They posted the interview on the website. I haven't watched it yet. I was waiting for you," Max said.
"Okay thanks. Lemme go get changed and we can go look at it," I replied. Max nodded and I walked to my bedroom.
I walked over to my closet and pulled out a white dress with a floral pattern, a white cardigan, and beige pumps. I quickly put them on and looked in the mirror. My make up from yesterday was still good. Just a little faded. I didn't bother to wash it off. My hair was tangled so I quickly ran a brush through it until it flowed in tangle free blonde curls. Then I called Max into my room.
"Coming!" he replied hopping up from the chair and running into my room.
"You look nice," Max said.
"Thanks, so do you," I smiled. He was wearing a bronze coat over a gray t-shirt with graphics, and the usual black jeans with sneakers.
"Thanks. Lets check this thing out!" He ran over to the computer and pulled my beanbag over so that I could sit next to him.
He typed in the web address and we watched as on the homepage our story popped up. We watched the video, which included us singing, then we looked at the caption and pictures. Max read the article out loud.
"Singer/Actor Max Schneider had found his true match. We are here to put the rumors to rest! Who is this mystery girl? This mystery girl is Marissa Addams, the love of his life. Tiger Beat talked to them and they told us that they are an item! Jessica Valen, a Tiger Beat intern, spent her day maxed out with Marissa and Max. Check our next edition of Tiger Beat to get Jessica's take on her day!"
Then there were the pictures we took my favorites were the ones in the fountain when we were messing around. It looked so natural, and the smiles weren't faked. Of course it was natural because they had caught us playing during the shoot.
At the bottom of the page there were a lot of comments. Max read a few of them out loud.
"She has an amazing voice! They sound great singing together!
Lucky girl! I love Max!
She has talent!
Marissa's a pretty girl.
They look so cute together!"
We were laughing and smiling at some of them. We were in the middle of reading the comments when there was a knock at my door.
My mom walked in, holding the house phone in her hand. "Mary, there is someone who wan't to talk to you."
I stood up and walked over to her and took the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Ms. Addams. This is Trey Porter, and I am a talent scout for Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon saw you sing in the interview with Tiger Beat and is interested in doing business with you, and we would like to know if you return the interest."
"Yes, Mr. Porter, that is amazing! I would love to!" I gasped.
"Please Ms. Addams, call me Trey! When are you availible to meet?"
"Anyday after 4:00. I don't have alot on my schedule besides school!" I laughed, still in shock.
"That's all gonna change soon! So can you meet at my office here in New York City tomorrow at 6:00?" He asked.
"Yes that sounds good."
"Okay I will email you the details! I will see you tomorrow!"
"Thank you! You too!"
I hung up and squealed with excitement. I ran into my mom's awaiting arms.
"Aren't you excited baby! I spoke with him before you did and I am aware of everything. This sounds like a great opportunity for you! I'm here to support you all the way!" She said.
"Thanks Mom!" I replied.
"I need to go pick up Sarah from her friends house. She spent the night. I'll let her know about what is going on, unless you want to."
"No it's allright you can do it! Bye Mom!" I told her as she left my room.
I turned around to see Max sitting there with one eyebrow raised. For a minute, I completely forgot he was here. He has no clue what's going on.
"That was a talent scout from Nickelodeon! They're interested in hiring me!" I exclaimed.
"That's amazing Mary!" His face lit up. He jumped up and grabbed me in a huge hug.
"I am completely blown away! I didn't see this coming!"
"I did! You have an amazing talent!" Max smiled my favorite smile.
"I'm having a hard time believing what just happened. If I didn't hear it with my own ears I wouldn't believe it!"
"Well believe it! You're gonna be famous."
"Wow. My whole life is gonna change," I sighed.
"Maybe change is good," he replied.
