~Chapter 16~

The next day at school was hectic. Between being mobbed by Max's fans some were happy some were filled with hate, and studying for the big tests since the end of the school year is in a week and a half, it was a stressing day.

I rushed home from school and rushed to find something to wear to meet Trey. I litterally ripped through my closet, and it wasn't until half of my clothes were strewn on the floor before I called to my mom for help.

I ended up wearing a white blouse that was tucked into a white waist skirt with a blue floral print. I wore minimal amount of makeup, just dark mascara and pink lipgloss. My mom refused to let me wear a knitted beanie today so my hair was down in long wavy blonde locks.

Mom examined my outfit before letting me leave. "Goodluck Mary, I'm proud of you," she said, kissing me on the forehead.

"Thanks Mom, I'll call when I'm done," I waved goodbye to Sarah and slipped out the door. I took the subway to get to his building, for it was too far of a bike ride. His office was on the other side of the city.

"There's my star!" a tall blonde man greeted me as I walked into the building her gave me an address to. He had that buff Hollywood look about him. His hair color obviously came from a can, not the sun. So did his tan.

I put a smile on my face as I walked farther into the room and up to him.

"Good evening Ms. Addams, I'm Trey Porter, we spoke on the phone," he shook my hand.

"Great to meet you," I politely responded.

"Follow me up to my office," Trey led me to the elevator and we silently entered. The elevator was already packed and we had to squeeze next to other to fit. An awkward silence filled the air. I was thankful when we got off. Trey led me down and around a maze of hallways. Finally he opened a door and we entered to the smell of fresh ink and coffee. There were people buzzing around here and there.

"Those-" he pointed to a group of people, "are publicists. They work with all press and paparazzi issues. They also plan the stars interviews and public appearances." I nodded understandingly.

"And they-" he pointed to another group, "are the casting crew. They assign the roles."

"And finally, I am the scout of the office. Always finding us fresh talent. And you princess- are the catch of the day!" he laughed then unlocked a door to a big open room. We stepped inside and he closed it behind us.

"This is my office," he gestured into the room.

"It's lovely," I commented looking around the room. It's style was Old Hollywood and it was beautiful with big red curtains over the windows.

"Have a seat," he sat down at his desk and I sat in a chair on the other side of it. "So what kind of jobs are you interested in doing? Television shows? Movies?"

"Anything I can get really," I blushed.

"That's good to be open minded. Are you interested in doing singing in this role?"

"It doesn't really matter, if there is singing I'm fine with it. If there's not I won't really be bothered."

"Your mighty easy to work with! Now that I have filled that part of the contract out, before we go forward with anything else I will need you to sign here saying that you approve and that you will be working with Nickelodeon." He handed me a clipboard with the sheet on it. I quickly signed and returned it to him.

"All right, lets see. We will need a song demo from you and headshots. You don't have either of these do you?"

"No sir."

"Okay you will have a week to prepare a song, preferably written by you. Then next Monday, meet me at my office dressed nicely and with your demo. We will get your head shots done then. I will give you the address of the recording studio and you can drop by there anytime this week to record. Any questions?" Trey said then scribbled the studio address on the bottom of his business card and handed it to me.

"What should I wear?" I asked.

"Anything that describes you. Just use natural looking makeup, and as little of it as possible. They want to see how you look without that stuff."

"Okay thank you so much. For everything," I sighed as we walked down to the main lobby of the building.

"Just call if you need anything. Have a good day Ms. Addams!" He opened the front door.

"Thanks, I will! And you too!" I put the buisiness card into my purse and headed for the subway.

The only problem with this is how on earth am I supposed to write a great song in less than a week? There's only one possible answer that I can think of. Time to visit Max.
