He's The Man
~Jordans POV~
I laugh and zip up my duffel bag. Trent takes a large swig from his blue Gatorade and smirks at me. "Dude, she didnt!" I shouted in disbelief.
He nods and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.
"I'm dead serious."
I raise an eyebrow. "So you're saying all you did was ask for nudie, and she sent you one?"
He chuckles and once again nods his head eagerly. "Bro. No joke , she's probably the hottest girl I've ever seen."
I ponder that for a second, Taylor Clergy was pretty hot, but she was all fake.
"Debatable." I state, earning myself an eye roll from Trent.
I sling my duffel over my shoulder and grab my lacrosse stick. "You ready?"
He stands up and jingles his car keys. "Need a ride, player?"
I chuckle and shove him towards the door of the locker room. "Get outta here!"
We both laugh and I shake my head as I swing the door of the gym open. I stumble backwards when the door rebounds and someone lets out a squeal from the other side.
"What the hell-" Trents eyes go wide with shock. "I think you just hit some one with the door!"
I narrow my eyes at him. "No shit Sherlock."
He glares at me and gestures me forward with his lacrosse stick. "Asshole..." He mutters under his breath.
I ignore his tantrum and slowly open the door and peek around. I see a girl on the ground.
Leila Grizzel.
She's rubbing her forehead and looks slightly lost. Trent suddenly shoves me foreword, forcing me out of the gym. "Dude, Go!"
I widen my eyes at him and then look at Leila on the ground, knowing he would understand. He 'awes' and snickers silently.
He quickly shoves me all the way out of the gym room and in Leila's direct line of sight. She looks up at me, her long brown hair spilling over her shoulders and her big blue eyes hold a question. I curse quietly and crouch down by her.
Plastering on a fake smile and forced concern, I meet her gaze. "You okay, Leila?"
She smiles softly and shakes her head. "I think I was hit-"
I chuckle and finish her sentence. "By the door?"
She nods and a little giggle escapes. "Yeah, sorry about that." I smile sheepishly and hold out my hand for her.
She gratefully takes it and I pull her to her feet. "You gonna be alright?"
She smoothes her shirt down and laughed a little, lightly probing her forehead for any bumps or bruises. "I'm sure i'll survive."
We both laugh. I watch her for a second, studying her features carefully. She catches on to what I'm doing after a moment and her cheeks immediately flushed red. She diverts her gaze and looks anywhere but at me. I smirk, I loved the affect I had on her.
Well...Girls in general.
Trent clears his throat, breaking me out of my little trance. I stand up straight and wave. "Sooo yeah. See ya around, Leila."
I turn and begin towards the doors. Trent wraps his hand around my arm and whisper-yells in my ear. "Dude. The bet!" I roll my eyes.
For the love of Pie! I groan and glance over my shoulder.
"Hey, Leila!" I call, my voice laced with a slight irritation.
She had started walking away, stopping upon hearing me call her. She turns around and gives me a shy smile. "Yes?"
I walk towards her and stop when we were about a foot apart. "What about that number?"
She laughs, shrugging her shoulders, she clutches her books closer to her. "Oh, yeah. I didn't see you in sixth?"
I smirk, not willing to give her an explanation. "Busy."
I smile, remembering how I had ditched sixth to meet up with Katy Pratt and have an intense make out session.
I snap out of my thoughts and she smiles again. "Well, in order to get a number, you kind of need a phone..."
Trent bursts out laughing from behind me. Damn eaves dropper. If it wasn't for him and Brad I wouldnt be caught up in this stupid bet anyways.
I reach into my pocket and pull out my cellphone. "Sorry about that."
I open the dial pad and raise an eyebrow at her. She gives me her number and stands there smiling at me, waiting for something more?
I chuckle and turn on my heel. "See ya."
Thats how to keep'em interested. Leave them wanting more by not giving them too much attention. I hear Trent following after me.
He slaps his hand on my shoulder and is trying not to laugh. "That was cold, bro."
I side smile but shrug. "Its not like she's anyone important."
Trent raises an eyebrow. "Well, shes gonna be important if you want that money."
I grin at him and let out a laugh. "Dude. I got this."
