Hes The Man -Part 18-
~Brads POV~
This plan was perfect.
I smirked to myself and waited for their little love fest to end. "I really hope we work. " Leila mumbled.
I chuckled, not a chance.
"We will. We just have to give it time."
I rolled my eyes, oh please.
They talked some more and decided on keeping their relationship on the down low. They were going to wait a week to make sure they were serious about staying together before becoming exclusive and blah, blah, blah. Hurry the hell up Jay!
"Lets go back to class?" He asked.
She sounded hesitant when she said. "Maybe we should go separetly...So it looks like we didn't ditch together or something"
Jordan chuckled but agreed. "Ok. We wouldnt want people to get the wrong idea."
She giggled. "Not yet anyways."
It was quiet for a moment before Jordan suggested. "Lets do something, tomorrow night."
"Like what?"
I could detect the excitement in his voice when he said. "This might sound cliche but dinner and a movie?"
I heard them kiss.
"Thats perfect."
Another kiss before I finally heard footsteps coming towards me.
"Ill call you tonight!" He shouted.
I heard her giggle and realized it was Leila who was coming first. I leaned against the locker and crossed my arms.
She turned the corner and stopped for a second, spotting me instantly. Her cheeks were flushed and she looked flustered.
"I-I...Um" She stuttered, not quite knowing what to say.
I chuckled before smirking at her. "Off you go little invisible."
I nodded in the other direction with my head.
Her already pink cheeks grew redder before she ducked her head and quickly walked into class.
After a minute or two I heard Jordans footsteps. His eyes widend when he saw me standing here, he looked behind him before making eye contact with me.
"Hey Jay." I said non chalantly.
He smiled nervously. "Uhh whats up man."
I shrugged but didnt say anything. He nodded and laughed, trying to play it off,"What are you doing out here?" He asked.
I chuckled. "I wont tell anyone if you dont."
His forehead wrinkled with confusion and I smirked. "It ends here DeVall."
With that I stood up and headed back into class, knowing that he'd follow.
~Jordans POV~
Panic rose high in my chest as Brad turned and strode so carelessly back into class.
Had he heard everything that we said? How long has he been standing there?! What was he talking about?
I groaned and debated whether or not I was going to tell him about Leila, we were bestfriends after all. I had no doubt that he would support me. I sighed before walking back into class.
I didnt make eye contact with anybody, though I could feel everyone watching me.
"First Ms. Grizzel, then Mr. Bridgett, and Now You, Mr. DeVall."
I looked at our Spanish teacher before taking my seat. She glared at me and set the textbook she was holding down.
"Do you think of my class as a free period?"
I shook my head.
"So why are you late?"
I shrugged. "My business, go on with your lesson."
She scowled at me before turning around. A few kids snickered, all the teachers knew I did whatever I wanted. They just put up with it.
I looked at Brad who turned and smirked at me.
"Wheres Chris?" I asked to break the tension.
Him and Damon chuckled.
"Hes taking care of something for me."
I nodded but didnt think too much into it. Brad slapped his hand on Damons back.
"Hey DeVall, what do you say about giving Damon here a few pointers?"
I eyed him curiously. "Pointers?"
He nodded. "Well D is new to the team, he asked me how you pull girls so easy."
I made my face blank, already knowing where he was going with this.
"I told him he could have the ladies falling at his feet, that is, if he learned how."
I saw him glance at the back of the room, Leila sat back there. Brad continued to smirk.
"So I was thinking, there would be no better way for him to learn, than to see The Man in action."
I followed his gaze and was correct, he was stairing directly at Leila.
I frowned.
"You want me to pick up Leila?"
He laughed but shook his head. "No, little Grizzel is for him. We wanna see you pick up Autumn."
I froze.
So he had heard. I starred right into his eyes, trying to figure out what he was doing. He didnt back down though, he just smiled.
"What do you say Jordan? You'd be teaching Damon a little something, all the while helping yourself out too."
I was fuming, he knew exactly what he was doing.
I shook my head. "I told you, I dont think that Autumn is-"
He quickly cut me off, his voice venomous and his face serious.
"Do it."
Damon looked confused but Brad continued. "Do it, everyone says you've been acting different. This can prove them wrong."
I glared at him harshly.
He just smiled at me. "Ask her out for tomorrow night."
I felt the need to punch him in the face but didn't. He chuckled and gave me a smirk when I stood up.
"And the man is back!" He shouted.
He starred at me and shot me a wink as I made my way towards Autumn.
