Hes The Man -Part 19-
~Leilas POV~
I smiled to myself as I turned the corner, my lips were still tingling from Jordans soft ones being pressed against them just moments ago.
I came to an abrupt stop, a small gasp escaping me.
I had just come face to face with Jordans friend. I recognized him as one of the guys at the restuarant, he was also in my class now.
I swallowed nervously as he eyed me creepily.
"I-I...uhh" My words stumbled out and I couldn't think of anything to say; or if I should say anything at all.
He smirked at me before chuckling,"Off you go little invisible."
I winced at his words but was happy nonetheless to get away from him. I quickly walked into class with my head down, avoiding my teachers disappointed gaze.
"Is there a reason for your tardiness, Ms. Grizzel?"
I shook my head but said nothing, just made my way to my seat and quickly sat down.
"Id be lying if I said Im not surprised."
I finally looked up with an irritated sigh. "Im sorry!" I snapped.
She rolled her eyes before turning her back to me. I fingered the shiny silver metal of the bracelet that never left my wrist. It always calmed me down. It was one of the two friendship bracelets Ramona had given to me after Seans funeral.
Mine had a diamond encrested R for her name and hers had a diamond encrested L for me. She was the only one who stuck by myside as I slowly lost grip on my sanity and was there waiting patiently to help as I tried to pick up the pieces of my broken life.
My nerves were going crazy.
I sighed looking down at the bracelet, I was still in shock from having caught Jordan and Autumn all hugged up on eachother and hearing her say something about them going out on a date.
I shook that thought away and smiled as Jordans handsome face swam through my thoughts, he wasn't what I had expected.
He was sweet, kind, and suprisingly witty. He always had a comeback for my Smart Alec comments, he didn't mind my teasing and actually went along with it. I loved that we could just have fun together, we always had a good time. No strings attached.
I was scared to admit it but I knew I was falling for him. I blinked a few times, now realizing that I had been staring off into space.
I glanced around the classroom but stopped when I noticed one of Jordans friends staring at me. I looked away before glancing back to see him still watching me, I frowned and waved sarcastically. What was he looking at?
My wave made him chuckle, he smirked at me before turning around with a smile. I cocked my head backwards, Ok creep. I rolled my eyes as Jordans other friend walked back into class, the weird one from the hallway.
He winked at me before taking his seat. A few minutes later Jordan followed after, taking his time as he seemed to not care what anyone was thinking.
I bit my lip to suppress a smile as the teacher lectured him about being late. He brushed her off making me roll my eyes and direct my gaze to my empty desk, where was all my stuff?
I thought back to the last twenty minutes and remembered shoving my things into Ramonas arms before making my get away.
I quickly looked at Ramonas empty seat, she was gone but my stuff and her things were there.
A notebook lay open and she looked to have been writing something before she left. I looked at the ground and saw her bag there, Mona never went anywhere without it.
My forehead creased with confusion, where was she? I slipped my phone out of my backpocket and sent her a quick text: Where'd you go?
I chewed my lip nervously and squirmed uncomfortably in my chair, I had the creepy feeling that someone was watching me and looked up to have my suspicion confirmed.
The one with dirty blonde hair, I think his name was Bret, was gazing at me with a smug grin.
He kept his eyes on me while talking lowly with Jordan. My eyes quickly flashed to him, his back was turned to me. His normally relaxed form suddenly looked tense. The dirty blonde leaned forward, growling something in his ear. Jordans hands were balled into fists and he abruptly stood up.
I tilted my head watching him carefully.
He avoided making eye contact with me as he slowly made his way towards Autumn. I glanced at his friend who was smiling mischeviously at me before quickly looking back at Jordan.
He crouched down so he was leveled with her and leaned in. He gently moved her hair behind her ear before coming closer to whisper something.
I froze as a blush spread across her cheeks and she giggled flirtaciously, the scene reminding me so much of what had happend between me and Jordan many times before.
My heart dropped to the pit of my stomache as he brought out his phone and handed it to her with a smirk, she quickly took it and began typing something in.
I scowled before tearing my gaze away from what was happening. How dare he do that right in front of me! Did he think I was stupid?
Just moments ago we were in the hallway making promises to stay together but secretly only for a short amount of time until I could confirm he was serious about us.
Now my chest ached as I watched him flirt with one of the easiest girls in school, I wanted to slap myself for being so stupid!
I bit down on my lip and looked into my lap, willing myself not to cry, where the hell was Ramona when I needed her?! I quickly checked my phone but angrily snapped it shut to see that she hadnt replied to message.
From the corner of my eye I could still see Jordan all over Autumn, she was giggling uncontrollably, loving the attention.
I glared but slowly looked up when I felt someone approaching. A boy with a nice build and chocolate brown hair was walking towards me with ease.
He held a look of confidence as he slid into Ramonas empty seat next to me.
"Hello-" his voice came out smooth yet was kind of husky. "Im Damon."
