Hes The Man -Part 17-
~Brads POV~
I frowned as I watched Jordan run after Leila.
What was his problem?
I glanced back at Autumn who was left standing there looking mad and confused. Jordan never blew off chicks, for ANYTHING.
"What was that about?"
Damon chuckled making me shrug,"Who knows, DeValls been acting weird lately."
Damon smirked as Leilas friend made her way past us, shoving past his feet that were blocking the aisle and resting on the chair across from him.
"Watch it Invisible!"
She ignored him as she took her seat behind us.
"Just because Jordan hooked up with your friend doesnt mean you guys are anything more than the invisibles you were last week."
That caught her attention.
She looked up at him, a harsh scowl painted across her expression.
"Leila didnt hook up with anyone."
That made us all laugh. She glared and looked back and forth between us,"Shut up you idiots!"
We both immediately stopped to glare back at her.
"Who do you think you're talking to?"I growled at her.
She rolled eyes and completely ignored my question,"Leila and Jordan didnt sleep together. They went on a date and-"
Damon chuckled. "First you call us idiots, and now you decide to lie to us? We know they slept together, otherwise he wouldnt of been paid-"
"Damon shut up!" I hissed.
Her friend staired at us confused.
I sighed angrily and looked at her,"They went on a date and?"
She kept her scowl but said,"And he asked her to be his girlfriend."
My eyes widend and her face changed from a scowl to a smirk. I looked back at Autumn who was now in her seat, talking to the girl behind her.
"We'll see about that." I abrubtly stood up and signaled for Damon and our friend Chris to follow me.
Our teacher tried to stop us but we kept walking. I looked both ways in the hallway but didnt see them.
"Come on. "
I heard far off voices coming from south hall and decided to go that way but was stopped by her friend grabbing my arm.
"Why cant you just leave her alone?"
I shrugged off her hand.
"Why cant you just mind your own damn business?"
She kept pace with me and quickly stopped me by standing in front of me. "When it comes to Leila, it is my business." She stated. She crossed her arms and glared at me.
I chuckled and nodded my head slowly. "You're here, harrassing me, disrespecting my boys, following me, telling me what to do. But all I want to know is one thing-"
She suddenly looked nervous but asked,"What?"
I smirked at her. "Whats your name?"
She looked puzzled and her strong demeanor faltered slightly. "My-my name?"
I nodded at her and waited.
"Uhhh-Ramona..."
I smiled and took a step closer to her.
"Well Ramona. Unfortunately for you, you followed me out here uninvited. "
She tried to remain cool though I could detect the panic hidden in her eyes. She slowly uncrossed her arms and started to back up.
"Wait-"
I held up my hand and signaled for Damon and Chris to come forward.
"Take care of our new friend, Ramona. I have to go save DeValls reputation before that bitch ruins it."
Ramona shook her head as Chris and Damon walked towards her,"Dont touch me!" She squealed as Damon wrapped a hand around her arm,"Let go of me!"
She opened her mouth to scream but Chris quickly clapped a hand over it, I smiled at her as she looked at me with pleading eyes.
"Ill see you later Ramona."
I walked past them and headed towards the voices.
I came to a stop once they were clearer and easier to understand.
"Im not good with relationships...but im willing to try for you."
I glared at the ground as I listened to what sounded like Jordan but couldnt be.
He wouldnt admit it but ever since Valerie I knew he was never the type to commit to a relationship.
I peaked around the lockers I was currently hiding behind and saw Leila gently push away his hand.
"I dont want to drag you down Jordan"
He tilted his head.
"Drag me down? Leila what do you mean-"
She sighed as another tear rolled down her face,"I dont want to be just another girl to you-"
He quickly shook his head,"You're not. You're so much more than just some girl to me Leila, I promise."
She looked up into his eyes, he wiped away her tears and stated,"You're it, Leila. You're the only girl I want."
With that he kissed her.
Not just any kiss though. He was gentle with her, his hand was on her cheek and he was touching her like she was the most fragile thing in the world.
The anger bubbled up inside of me, Ive known Jordan since second grade. Ever since sixth grade we talked about having the life we live now.
Popularest guys in school, best on the Lacrosse team, pulling girls on the daily!
He almost ruined that back in freshman year when he dated Valerie, but now that we had it, I wasnt going to let him destroy over some dumb girl.
And if he was going to do it, I wasn't gonna let it be over an invisible like Leila Grizzel.
Just thinking about it pissed me off! I took a deep breath and quickly glanced passed the lockers to see them still kissing. Her hands were tangled in his hair and his arms were wrapped around her.
I glared for another moment before making a choice for both of us.
He was my bestfriend, I wouldn't just sit by and watch him throw his reputation away. I nodded and turned the corner knowing what I had to do.
I would get rid of Leila for him.
After all, what kind of bestfriend would I be if I didn't have his back?
