Hes The Man -Part 8-

~Leilas POV~

I looked up at Jordan with a confused expression painted across my face.

He was trying hard not to show his emotions but his eyes betrayed him and were softened though his features were formed into a scowl.

"Hi Valerie." He stated.

My eyes flashed to the girl standing infront of us.

Her skirt was barely covering her and she was wearing a bandana as a shirt. I raised my eyebrow and my mouth fell slightly open, How was this girl 'Valerie' not freezing and why was her presence making Jordan so aggrivated.

I snapped out of my trance when she smirked at me and cough-giggled. "Whos your friend Jordan?"

He looked at her for a second looking lost. She had to point at me in order for him to realize what she was talking about. "Oh her...This is-This is Leila."

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder again and smiled down at me.

Valerie glared daggers at his arm and looked me up and down, all the while holding that smirk on her unnaturally flawless face.

She took a sip of the clear liquid in her plastic red cup and said,"Wait what did you say her name was?" She asked Jordan, completely ignoring the fact that I was standing right there.

Jordan was about to answer before I raised my hand out to her and said,"Leila."

She staired at my hand for a moment, not bothering to shake it. She looked like she was thinking hard about something before she laughed loudly,"As in Leila Grizzel?"

I just smiled at her and nodded my head. Jordan started glaring at her again and growled,"Is something funny Val?"

She giggled again before saying,"I think we both know how awkward and sick this is. Please tell me your seeing her as a dare?"

I winced at her words and looked away from both of them.

Jordan laughed humorlessly. "Sorry Val. But when Im with someone, I'm with them. You may think this is weird, but unlike you. Some of us actually have feelings."

She stopped smiling and crossed her arms. "I actually did care about you Jordan. I still do."

Jordan took a deep breath and I shifted uncomfortably,"Save it Valerie. You betrayed my trust and thats something you will never get back. Ever."

He turned us and we began walking in the other direction.

It was quiet until she shouted out. "You never stopped loving me Jordan! I know you still do!"

I bit my lip and frowned at the tense atmosphere.

He didnt say anything or slow his pace down. We walked until we reached his car, he came and opened the door for me. I was about to get in before he stopped me.

He held an angry and slightly confused expression and put both hands on my shoulders,"I need to tell you something Leila. Something you might not want to hear."

~Jordans POV~

I blew out a low nervous breath before deciding I was going to tell her about the bet,"I just-I want to explain-"

She smiled softly at me touched my cheek,"Its ok Jordan. You dont have to explain anything to me."

I frowned, feeling confused. "What?"

Leila just kept smiling and said,"I know you and Valerie probably have a long history...But that was then, and this is now. Just leave it in the past, where it belongs. "

I was about to disagree and tell her that, that wasn't what I was going to say but was silenced by her soft, perfect lips on mine.
