Hes The Man -Part 42-
~Jordans POV~
A loud crack bounced off of the trees and traveled through the air; if Jacobs nose wasn't broken before, it was definitely broken now.
He stumbled backwards, his hand hovering over his face as his eyes watered slighty.
"Is that it DeVall?" He hissed, smiling a big bloody grin.
I shook my head and smiled also,"Not even close. We're just getting started."
He angrily wiped the blood that gushed from his nose and stood up straight. "You grow some balls all of a sudden? Last I remember you were a pathetic little bitch who couldn't even keep his girlfriend under control."
My smile instantly faded as his grew larger.
"I don't blame you though DeVall, Valerie was a wild one. I think Trent was the only one of your friends who didnt get a taste of her while you guys were together."
He chuckled and gave me the look I recieved from him and Sean all the time way back when.
"I think the same night I had her, Brad took his turn as well!" He howled with laughter but was quickly silenced by my fist connecting with his jaw, he was sent flying backwards and rolled a few times before coming to a stop.
No longer on the road but the dirt that lined it, he lay there with squinted eyes and a faded smile.
After placing a good kick to his gut, I roughly picked him up by the collar of his shirt and brought him close to my face, he opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him, hearing the police sirens quickly nearing I glared at him and jerked him forward.
"This is over Formiller. Have fun rotting in a jail cell by yourself."
I could just make out the flashing lights in the distance as the shrill scream of the sirens got louder.
Jacobs lips broke out into a wicked grin as both of his hands grabbed my wrist that held him in place while he struggled against my grasp.
"When are you going to learn Runt-"
He coughs on his own blood and stares straight into my eyes as he speaks. "You can't win."
The red, white, and blue police car pulls up and two officers immediately get out and run towards us.
I quickly bring Jacobs ear close to my mouth and whisper.
"Looks like I just did."
I let him go and he immediately drops to the ground, not being able to hold up his own weight. One officer quickly turns him over and cuffs him while the other approaches me slowly and tells me to put my hands in the air.
"He's not the one you're looking for!!"
Ramona shouts, quickly stepping out of my car.
"It's him-"
She points a shaky finger at Jacob whose head hangs limply as the officer tries to put him in the back of the police car.
"He's the one you want."
My hands are still shaking from the amount of adrenaline pumping through my system, the realization finally sinking in that this was over.
I quickly turn and walk towards Leila who's curled up on my backseat while Ramona talks to the officer and explains what happened.
"Leila?"
I begin as I crouch down so that Im eye level with her. She remains quiet and continues looking down.
"Im sorry you had to see that..." I whisper.
When she doesn't say anything I nod slowly and let out a sigh. "I understand if you don't want to talk to me. Im just happy you're safe."
I turn and stand up, sadness slightly overwhelming me.
"Jordan?" She calls softly.
I stop and turn on my heel, her blue eyes immediately meeting mine.
She's now standing outside of my car, her cheeks are stained from tears and her clothes looked wrinkled but it didn't matter, she was still beautiful in every shape and form.
"I dont want you to leave."
Relief fills me quickly and I can't help but smile. "Good, because I don't want to."
I can't explain the feeling of happiness that envelops me as Leila runs to me and buries her face into my neck.
I quickly wrap my arms around her and hold her tightly. I was so scared I'd never see you again." She mumbles in a small voice.
I smile and pull back so that I can see her face, her eyes are watering but no tears spill over. I tuck a lock of her brown hair behind her ear and give her a warm smile.
"You're going to be okay, Leila-"
She nods and tries to swallow the lump in her throat as she leans her forehead against my own.
"We're going to be ok."
