Hes The Man -Part 15-
~Leilas POV~
I walked down the hallway with Ramona close by my side.
"So is Jordan your boyfriend or not?"
I awkwardly looked at my feet as we walked and mumbled. "Im not really sure..."
She rolled her eyes and put both hands on my shoulders. "What happend to 'It was all so perfect' ?!" Ramona shouted.
I sighed and shrugged my shoulders. "It was perfect! But after he took me home, me and my mom decided to go grab breakfast at Marvins-"
Mona gasped. "Without me? How dare you!"
I laughed and shook my head. "Well when we got there...I thought I saw him but I'm not really sure."
Mona tilted her head to the side. "Soo...you think you saw him at Marvins?"
I nodded but didnt say anything.
She suddenly threw her hands in the air dramatically, leave it up to Mona to cause a scene. "Well what the hell Leila!? Just because you think you see him at a diner when you're with your mom is no reason to just-just ignore him!"
I lowered my gaze and pulled Mona along with me as we weaved through the hall, pulling us to a stop by the gym.
"Mona! He wasn't at Marvins by himself...he was with some of his lacrosse friends."
Ramona raised and eyebrow,"Of course he was. He's Jordan DeVallllll" She dragged ot his last name, making me smile.
"Lay. If you're serious about dating him, you need to respect the fact that he has other friends."
I rolled my eyes again,"It's not that - its just...his friends were laughing at me. And Jordan didn't do anything about it. He didnt even say hi."
Ramona narrowed her eyes,"But you said you weren't sure it was him. So how do you know they were laughing At you?"
She staired at me matter of factly.
I sighed in defeat and let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah I guess you're right."
Mona smiled and stood up straight, raising her chin in the air. "Of course. I'm Always right!"
I shoved her playfully and groaned,"But hey! That still doesnt explain why he hasn't talked to me all weekend! No text or call or just...anything."
Ramona took a deep breath before concluding,"Did you text or call him?"
I frowned. "Well no."
She gave me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry Lay. He was probably busy with Lacrosse and I dont know...maybe his celebrity like social life?"
I grinned at her as she made a list of reasons as to why he hasn't called,"In plus. We're gonna see him next period in Spanish anyways so he's bound to talk to you then."
I nodded as we began walking again towards our first class.
"Hey Mona?" I asked.
She 'hmmed?' but kept looking forward.
"What do you know about a girl named Valerie?"
~Jordans POV~
I walked towards the circle of guys from my lacrosse team gathered around by Michaels locker.
As soon as I joined the regular group they all looked at me and 'whooped' or cat called.
"Whats up Jay!" Michael shouted.
I smirked as I did the bro shake with Damon, also a guy from my team.
"Hey."
Everybody smirked at me or chuckled when I made eye contact.
"Whats up?" I asked to no one in particular.
Trent was leaning against a locker with his arms crossed,"I just got done telling the guys about your latest victim."
I raised my eyebrow,"Victim?"
Brad laughed and stated. "He means victim as in: Leila Grizzel."
The guys in the group started sarcastically clapping or whistling.
"So tell us Jay, how exactly did you get her to agree to it?" Michael asked.
I plastered on a fake smirk and stated,"I don't kiss and tell."
'Oohs' erupted from numerous people and Damon slapped his hand on my back.
"All I can say is, that is one nice piece of ass! If I would've known she was easy, I would've been all over that a long time ago!!"
Many guys nodded in agreement, I just stood there fake smirking and tried to play it off.
But when Damon said that something about it kinda pissed me off.
"Hey nobody ever said she was easy-"
Brad interrupted me. "Yeah Damon. Nobody said she was easy! You, me, and everyother guy in this school is aware of the well known fact that-DeVall gets what he wants."
Everybody chuckled and I laughed along with them. Thats the way its always been, but something about now was different.
Michael grinned at me,"Oh come on Jay. Since when have you ever with held information from me or the guys?"
I held up my hands in surrender. "My mouth is sealed. This one was too good for details."
Trent chuckled. "Well I hope you don't mind when some of us take a shot at her?"
Before I could say anything Damon added,"Because even if you say no, You've left us all curious as to why she's soo good!"
The guys laughed but nodded their heads in agreement.
I forced a smirk and winked. "Guess you'll have to find out for yourselves." I turned to go and quickly walked away.
I drowned out their loud howls of laughter and 'whoops'.
I had to find Leila.
I had to warn her to stay away from the guys and not talk to them. I know I acted like an asshole back there, but there was really no other way. If any of them found out I was lying about the bet, they'd want the money back.
My future and reputation was on the line. I've never had to lie about sleeping with a girl because there was never a need, most of them gave it up without me so much as opening the car door for them.
But I didnt want it to be that way with Leila. She was different.
