"ARE you ready?"

It was like seeing herself again for the first time.

She remembers herself. Subalit may kulang pa rin. Ang ala-ala lamang niya ay iyong kabataan niya hanggang noong mamatay ang daddy niya when she was sixteen. Pagkatapos ay kinuha siya ng kanyang Tito upang sa Chicago na pag-aralin because her mom can't raise her. She's a lawyer in Chicago. That's all.

But that's good. Better even.

She blinked several times habang tinititigan ang sarili. Brien made a good job at the operation.

She looked... alright. Her nose was small but pointy.

Tumingin siya kay Brien. "So this is how I really look," pagbibiro niya.

"You're always beautiful to me, kahit noon pa," seryosong tugon nito.

She can't keep her eyes off him. Her heart was bursting with gratitude and pride and love for this man. The emotions in his eyes were filling her. Body and soul. She may not know the vital parts of her past.

But she can't imagine her future without him.

Without his warmth. His touch. His lips.

His blue eyes were intense. Pareho sila ng naiisip. She smiled and shrugged. "Later," she mouthed playfully.
