My Visions

Chapter 12

A/N:  Don't get use to double updates every day but here is another update for today.  Enjoy.

Wayo POV

I'm exhausted and I'm sitting in my dorm room trying to figure out what exactly happened today. I'm hungry but I don't want to leave the safety of my room since people keep coming up to me and pestering me. I keep trying to figure out how me helping the Engineering students in a fight ends up with me turning into a "celebrity".  As I put my hands over face and sigh, Shane walks into my room.

"What's wrong with you?"

I take my hands off my face and just stare up at him. "What's wrong? I was followed all day by people. As soon as I thought that I had gotten rid of the group, a new group of people was there. They kept asking me all sorts of questions. Am I dating any one? Could they have my phone number? Would I go on a date with them?" At this point, I look at Shane with a shocked expression. "One girl asked if I would like to have sex with her!?!?"

"So, is that why you are hiding in your dorm room?"

"Yes, and I'm afraid to leave to go get food. There may be people waiting for me to leave my room."

Shane chuckles, "Do you want to go out to eat?"

Before I can answer him, my stomach growls. "Well, I think that is your answer but what can I do."

Shane puts up one finger to tell me to wait a second and he pulls out his phone. He dials a number and says, "N'Ming, have you eaten yet? ..... Well, Wayo and I have a slight problem and we are hoping that you and your friends can help. Wayo wants to go out to eat but he has been surrounded by people all day and he is afraid to go out now. Could you get N'Forth, N'Lam and N'Park to join us for a meal?.....I'm hoping that with a group, people won't approach Wayo but if they do, you handle it for him. ..... Good, come to Wayo's room and we will leave as a group. Thanks."

Shane ends the call and looking up at me. "Ming is with Forth, Lam and Park right now and they all agreed to help so we can go out to eat. He said that they would be here in about 30 minutes."

I feel so relieved but also so ashamed that I had to ask a group of friends to be my "shield" so I can go out to eat. I have never had this happen before and I still can't believe that it is happening now. I don't have the faintest clue on how to fix this. What should I do?

Shane brings me out of my thoughts. "What are thinking about? Are you thinking about this "celebrity" thing or are you thinking about those visions?"

I had completely forgotten about my mystery man and those visions. Why did he have to bring that up? "I'm thinking about how I'm going to resolve this issue going forward. The people aren't going to stop just because I want them to stop. I have to think of something that will truly work."

At the restaurant, we are sitting in a large corner table with a partition between our table and the table to the right. We are eating our food when I suddenly smell something that seems familiar, but I don't know where it is coming from. I look around, but I don't seem to see anything that I recognize. So, I shake it off and ignore it.

I have been afraid to ask for help, but I don't think that I have a choice now. I can't have any more days like I had today. I hesitate but I work up the courage to ask. "Uh, guys, I need some help and/or advice regarding the way people are swarming me on campus. You helped tonight so I could leave my room to get something to eat but I can't keep asking you to come walk with me and to shield me from the onslaught of people trying to get close to me. I do really appreciate your help tonight and thank you." I take a deep breath. "Do you have any ideas that will work to prevent this from happening again?"
