Chapter 60

A/N:  Here is another chapter.  I hope you enjoy it.

Wayo POV

We were all having so much fun that we decided to go a bar to have a few drinks after the meal. Kit, Beam and Pha still weren't done with the lab but Shane and Ming were going to meet us there. It is a given now that they know who I am, they expect me to pay for the drinks at the bar. If I'm not mistaken, they made a pledge to have me pay for the food and drinks anytime I'm with them going forward. Well, I'm glad they aren't trying to take advantage of me. (I'm sure you can feel my sarcasm oozing out of my words.)

When we got to the bar, Shane and Ming had already arrived and had gotten the corner booth in the back. It's our favorite table. It is out of the way, yet you can see the whole bar from there and the restrooms aren't too far away but not too close either. As soon as Forth, Park, Lam and I get to the table, Park can't wait to lecture Ming for withholding information.

Park whines but also scolds, "N'Ming, why didn't you tell us exactly who P'Yo was? I nearly died of shock."

"Yeah, nong, why are you holding out?" Lam has to scold too.

Forth just shakes his head at them. I look at Shane and shrug my shoulders and Shane knows that I have told my three friends exactly who I am. Shane knows at some point, I will have to tell all of my friends and he has been pressuring me to tell them sooner than later. Especially after this afternoon when I was able to get the WJP Hospital to begin participating in the practicum and internship program. Well, I guess I should tell Kit and Beam soon. I can't forget Nate and the Fairy Angels. OMG!! The Fairy Angels are going to go ballistic when I tell them, but I will need them to be in a good mode and I will have to have an escape plan. I have a strange feeling that they will try to maul me when I tell them. Or worse yet, they will want me to set them up with some rich men. No!! I hope they don't do that.

I sit down and ask the ultimate question, "So since I have been told that I'm buying, what do you want?"

Forth pats me on the shoulder. "I'll go up to the bar with you. Don't worry."

With that, Forth and I leave the table and head to the bar to place our order. Of course, I give the bartender my credit card and I pay for all the drinks. I'm thinking ahead, and I order enough for two to three rounds for everyone.

As we are waiting for our order, Forth asks, "Are you going to tell Kit and Beam about the hospital or are you going to keep it from them?"

I knew that this question was coming but Forth doesn't beat around the bush. He goes straight to the point. I nod my head yes. "Yes, I will. I need to say something before Pha says anything. He only knows that I pulled strings to get them in. He doesn't know that my dad owns the hospital. So, what he says may not be completely accurate. Plus, if you remember right, N'Kit is the one who picked the hospital and Beam agreed. I just went with the one they picked."

Forth still seems a little confused. "I believe that Ai'Pha didn't want to get in via a favor, but I think that is exactly what happened. How are you going to resolve that?"

That is the exact same question that keeps bouncing around in my mind and I still haven't figured out the answer to it yet. "I don't know but I'll figure it out how soon. I think the fact that they won't be the only ones in the practicum will be good. In addition, the hospital is starting the internship program this year so Pha, Kit and Beam won't be the first group to do internships there. To be honest, I didn't know that our hospital wasn't participating in those programs and I was irritated that such a well known and stellar hospital wasn't participating. I think I'm going to have to look through the hospital and see what other things they aren't participating in. If we had known this sooner, we would have taken action sooner."
