Maxon's POV

We already moved Lady Kamber into the princess suite and she got settled in already. Lady Kamber was getting checked and monitored frequently. I was in my room pacing the room. I was thinking of who was next for having a date with me. I already went on almost ten dates. Each one different and interesting in there own way. I also sent about five girls home.
There was a knock at my door. I walk over and open it since my butlers were out because I asked for privacy. There stood America.

"America. I mean Lady America." I correct myself.

"There's something wrong." She says her voice shaking.

"What is it?" I suddenly get nervous.

"Kamber. She is coughing and wheezing. And- and she's getting pimples and acne. She has always had clear skin. She NEVER got pimples and acne before. I'm worried." She said really fast.

"Have you talked with the doctors?" I ask walking out of the door and shutting it behind me.

"Well no. But we would tell them about it. Right?"

"Yes. Let's go right now." I give her a small smile of encouragement. I thought maybe America wasn't getting that much sleep lately. Maybe she was over reacting. I was just going to go with her though because I want to be there for her.

We walk down to the hospital wing and we walk in the door and I almost bump into Dr. Sarah. She steps back so we don't crash.

"Hello America. I mean Lady America." She made the same mistake I did. "And Prince Maxon. Is something wrong? You seem worried." She suddenly turned concerned.

"Kamber. She is coughing and wheezing and I'm worried." America repeated.

"Is that bad? I mean maybe she just has something in her throat. Do you want me to check on her?" Dr. Sarah said and went back to looking normal.

"Yes. Of course I want you to check. You know she could be dying right now while you and I are discussing this pointless conversation. She is my best friend. I can't loose her. I just can't." America yelled and then at the end it turned to sobs.

"America. Sit. Please. Have you been sleeping well?" Dr. Sarah said worried now about America and not Kamber.

"No. Don't touch me. I'm fine. You know who's not fine? Kamber. She is not fine she is coughing so much and wheezing when she breaths in and out. I'm not sleep deprived. I am worried. For my best friend. I know her like she's myself. She knows me better than me. Now just do your job and help her." America started yelling again. She earned some side looks from the other doctors.

"America calm down. Please" I beg of her.

"Maxon. Can't you see. Kamber might be dying. I can't just sit around and wait till she shrivels up and dies. Not when I can do something. When you can do something." America looked at Dr. Sarah.

"Okay you two come with me. I'll show you America. Your friend is fine. We just checked on her yesterday morning and she was still in a fairly heathy condition." The doctor said while walking briskly to the princess suite.

When we got there we looked so no one saw us go in. I was the last one in and the closed the door silently but that didn't really work that well because someone was coughing loudly behind me. I turn around and see America standing at Kamber's side while she coughed. Dr. Sarah was on Kamber's other side taking in her heart rate and her blood pressure.

"See told you. She was like this for like an hour straight." America gave a pointed look at Dr. Sarah.

"She seems fine besides the coughing." Dr. Sarah said to America and then turned to Kamber. "We should maybe get you a bath and some treatment to put some moisture back into your skin and body."

"Ok." Kamber said through coughs.

We sit with Kamber for a while and just watch Dr. Sarah doing some test on Kamber. America never once left Kamber's side. She really was an amazing friend. Staying with them thick through thin.

"Blood. There is blood." America said worriedly and took Kamber's hand in hers.

"What do you mean blood?" I asked getting up from the chair that I got settled in. I moved over to stand by America. That's when I saw it. Kamber moves her elbow from her face and there was blood on her elbow. Bright red blood.

"Oh no. This is not good." Dr. Sarah said looking right at the blood.

"What does this mean?" America said frantically.

"Well when we noticed the cancer she was at stage two. The stage where the doctors just notice it and the cancer is curable."

"Then why isn't she cured!!" America interrupted Dr. Sarah. I laid a hand on America's shoulder and she looked at me. I could see the bags under her eyes and the tears brimming in her eyes.

"That's a reasonable question. The thing is not many people know about heart cancer. It's the rarest kind of cancer there is. Our reaserch team is doing the best they can. But I need to tell you America. And Kamber." She looked at Kamber Who was listening to everything while coughing a lot. "No one has ever survived heart cancer. The doctors have always been to late and then the person's blood is un-pure and they die." Dr. Sarah stated and looked down at the news.

"What stage is Kamber In now?" America asked Dr. Sarah.

"She's moving into stage three. The cancer is growing. The cancer forms a tumor and the tumor invaded the heart and pumps un- pure blood through the body." Dr. Sarah explained.

"Do you think Kamber will survive?" America asked.

"If I'm being honest it's a slim chance that she will. Like a 98% chance will not."

"So only two percent is the chance she will live?" America started to sob.

"Yes. I'm so sorry America. And I'm sorry Kamber."

"Well I guess we will need to have faith in that 2%" Kamber smiles a little just to cough more.

"I'll go get some medicine for that coughing of yours." Dr. Sarah said and walked towards the door and shut it behind her.

"I'm going to try to get some sleep." Kamber said and tried to yawn but got interrupted by coughing.

"Maxon..." America whispers when Kamber is finally asleep.

"Yes America?" I say and look at her. I walk her over to the chairs and help her sit in one. She was just staring at me. In my eyes. I felt like she could see me like no one else could.

"Just please. Hold me."

Hello!! Guess who did some research! This girl. Most of the facts about the heart cancer is real but the part about no one surviving. I hope you guys like this chapter. I am sorry I didn't really do that much with Maxon's character in this chapter. I'm kind of at a stand still with Maxon's POV because I don't got that much going on with him. So what do you think will happen to Kamber? Will She live? Will she die? How do you think America's mental strength is doing? Please please feel free to comment I love reading comment and responding! Also remember you can suggest what you maybe would like to see. If you have any ideas what could happen with Maxon I would love to hear it. Also please vote!!
