Maxon's POV
I wake up when the sun shine shines brightly against the window. We must have forgotten to close the curtains last night. America and I asked for privacy, so no maids or anyone could bother us. We actually got married! I couldn't believe less than twenty-four hours ago I wasn't married to the beautiful girl in bed next to me.
I look down at America and admire her. Not creepily. I promise it was totally normal. America looked calm and relaxed. Total opposite of the past few weeks. Last night was the first night I actually got a good night's sleep in ages!
America's hair drops in front of her face and it's the cutest thing ever. I gently pick up the piece of hair and brush it back behind her ear. I couldn't help it and I bend down and lightly kiss her cheek and work my way down to her collar bone. She laughs a little and pulls her head into her pillow even more.
"Good morning darling, how was your nights sleep?" I quietly ask in her ear. I wrap my arms around her and spoon her. It felt natural.
"It was amazing. How was yours?" America giggles and I smile. She was so cute.
"It was absolutely wonderful. I haven't had that good of a sleep in ages!" I repeat what I was thinking earlier.
She looks up at me. I smile and then she suddenly pulls my head forward and graces me with a bunch of tiny kisses around my face. I laugh and sigh a little. I could get used to this. Finally our lips meet and I'm suddenly hungry for her.
I needed to pull back before I lose myself. Today was the trial. We need to be at the top of our game. Even though we have it all figured out.
"We should get ready. The trial is today." America says taking the words right out of my mouth. Even though I know it's true I groan. Whyyy did it have to be today.
"Can we put it off till. I don't know next week! I could just lay in bed with you all day. I don't wanna get up and work!!" I complain. I wrap America tighter in my arms.
She lightly shoves me and gets out of bed. Right when she does that there comes knocks at the door.
"Your Majesties May we come in?" A younger maid asks.
I sit back and just let America do the talking. She's always so kind with the help and I admire her for that. She's a role model that even I look up to.
I zone out as I think of how wonderful my wife really is. Finally I refocus when they are talking about what America is going to wear. I wanted to hear so I could match her.
"Uhhh I didn't really think about it. I was so preoccupied with the wedding and last night was very eventful. What do you think Maxon?" She asks me and looks over. I run my hand though my tangled mess up hair and thought.
"Any color you want to wear you can wear. But, maybe not white and gold. This is a trial and Kriss killed people and all that. But it shouldn't be dark colors either. It's happy because we are bring people to justice. So maybe like a light blue like your eyes." I suggest. Gold and white is more goddess look and you don't want that. You want modest. Not goddess. I vividly remember America looking gorgeous in light blue. That's why I picked it. I look at America and her cheeks are a rosy shade. I made her blush. I feel complete.
Soon I'm off into another room while America gets dressed. I get on my tux and have my light blue tie ironed fast. I hope she takes my suggestion or else it would look a little weird for me to be wearing a light blue tie and not match America.
As I walk into the throne room I walk up to the alter and a guard quickly rushes up to me.
"Your Majesty Kriss has escaped." He quickly whispers.
