Maxon's POV

America has stepped up to being Queen almost perfectly. I'm so proud of her! Mother is helping America right now because America didn't have that extra time that most all other queens do while they are a princess.

Father and Mother have been staying in the palace for a while. It's been a month since the coronation and to be quite honest it has been the happiest month of my life. I have America by my side after all is said and done America and I are together.

America and Aspen are finalizing their divorce and it will be official in less than a week. It went by fast because they both agreed on the divorce and there were no fights and no custody arguments. Aspen got the house that they bought together and most everything in it. It worked out because America will be now living in the palace with me and transportation comes with the palace. They also didn't have any kids so that sped a lot of things up.

"Your majesty will you want white, red, or pink roses at the wedding?" A maid asks me while I'm at my desk.

"I would like red and white, but before you order them please ask America. Whatever she says goes." I smile politely at the maid. She nods and bows and makes her way out of my office.

The wedding is scheduled for next month. We want to do it as soon as possible. Since we were both coronated early the wedding doesn't have to be right away but that's what both America and I want.

There was a knock at the door and without my response America opens the door and steps into my office. A smile appears on my lips. I can't help it.

"America, what a lovely surprise!" I said and when she didn't smile I figured something was wrong. My smile disappeared and I frowned. "What's wrong darling?"

"Kriss's court date has been assigned. It will be the day after our wedding. So we need to wait to go on our honeymoon." America said disappointedly.

"Dang! What were they thinking?" I asked. I was outraged. Who was in charge of handling the court dates...?

"What do you mean what were they thinking? Maxon! You're the one who makes the court dates. You're the one in charge! What were you thinking?" America yells at me.

Did I forget to mention that I haven't gotten that much sleep? Or that I've been kinda loopy lately? Well I am. I haven't been sleeping well because I'm too busy to sleep. I take pills to help me stay awake and those make me forgetful and stupid.

"Dang! I'm so so so sorry America. No worries we can do it. We will make it work! I promise. America, darling I promise to you that this will be the best honeymoon you've ever been on and it will be the prettiest wedding that you will ever attend and lastly it will be the most harshest court case you will ever do." I take her hands in mine and squeeze them. I try to give her my enthusiasm that I'm already laking greatly in.

America sweeps me into a hug. "Maxon, you're working way too much! You are tired and you look like crap. You probably haven't had a good night's sleep in days! Go take a nap. I can take over for at least a bit." America says worriedly. I love her for being concerned about me, but I need to do my own work because I know America is work packed as well.

"America I'm fine. You are busy as well and I don't want you to be overworked!" I try to reason with her.

"No. Maxon don't play that card! You have way too much work. My work is so easy. I just need to plan some parties and write some letters. That's all. You are in here all day and almost all night! You work on not only the wedding but you're making sure the schools are getting enough money, making sure the other countries are happy, and etc. you need a break. Take a break Maxon. I can handle this stuff." America begs of me. She does have a point. But I can't just let her do my work. It wouldn't be fair to her.

"America it wouldn't be fair to you to take all of my work." I tell her.

"I'll get your mother and your father to help me. They would happily help. Let me take care of it, if you. Just go lie down and rest. Don't worry, just sleep. I got it. Trust me." She finally breaks me and she pushes me out of the door.

I make my way to my room. The bed looks so comfy and nice. I just face plant into the softness of it. I sink into the mattress and my eyes snap shut and I'm asleep.

I wake up twice and go back to sleep. It was a great sleep. Something I haven't gotten in a week or so.

I sit up and rub my eyes. My shirt was taken off and my pants. I was just in my briefs. I got dressed and made my way to my office. I looked outside and it was night time. I sighed and lightly pushed open my door. I found my mother my father and America in there talking. They all look up at me and smile.

"You look great Maxon!" Dad said and smiled.

"You look healthy again!" Mother said and came over to hug me.

"I'm glad you're awake. You slept for so long. You needed it though." America said and smiled along with my parents.

"What do you mean? I slept for less than five hours." I say confused and laughed a bit. I looked at my clock on the wall and did the math. Yeah. Five hours of sleep.

"Maxon. You slept a whole day...and five hours." America explained and this time she laughed.

I am so so so so sorry that I didn't post yesterday! I know that I said I would but I didn't. Don't be mad please!!! I had a long week and I didn't get to sleep on Thursday till 3:30 in He morning on Friday! I pre-wrote most of these chapters that I posted this week but I guess I didn't finish this one when I thought I did. I know this chapter isn't that great but I hope you guys still like it! I felt you needed to know the "after story" like before the wedding but after the coronation.

I will post again 8/20/18
