The Alphas Hybrid

Chapter One

I stood in front of my mirror trying to convince myself to leave the house. I looked at my long red hair that came down to my breasts and a pair of sunglasses sat on my head. I was wearing a dark blue tank top I got from American Eagle the week before. I was wearing light blue skinny jeans with tiny tears in them with my black combat boots. I sighed at myself before shrugging on my light grey cardigan and walked out the door. My boots clunked down the stairs as I made my way to the kitchen. My brother, Jake, sat at the table with his two best friends Paul and Joseph. They were too engrossed in their conversation about Jake's Alpha coronation to even notice me. I pulled the supplies for my morning smoothie, out of the fridge and began making it. I grabbed my smoothie and walked out into the living room, and put on Riverdale. Damn, Archie and Jughead are hot! I began watching season 2 when I started getting a headache. I groaned and unblocked my mindlink.

"Melanie, get your brother and head to my office in the pack house. I need to talk to both of you" My dad mindlinked me before cutting of the link.

I nodded, even though he couldn't see it, and finished my smoothie. I turned off the TV and walked back to the kitchen and put my cup in the sink. I turned around, and leaned against the counter to face Jake, Paul and Joseph. They were still talking about the coronation and I rolled my eyes.

"Jake, Dad wants us in his office...now" I said and Jake looked at me before he nodded. He stood up and said bye to Paul and Joseph before walking out of the kitchen. I followed Jake out the front door and he shifted into his massive brown wolf and he walked into the woods towards the pack house. I shifted into my wolf and followed Jake into the woods. Being Alpha Blood has its perks. Instead of Jake and I living in the pack house, my mom and dad own a house that is a 5 minute run from the pack house. It's not too far away to worry about rogues but it is far enough away from the center of the pack, it's the perfect spot. I caught up to Jake before we reached the woods edge. We both shifted back into our human forms before walking towards the pack house. The pack members smiled and said "hello" to Jake and I as we walked by. I opened up the pack house and Jake followed me in. I walked through the entrance and made my way to my Dads office through the labyrinth of the halls. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, as the pack house was silent.

"Echo, what's going on?" I asked my wolf.

"I don't know Melanie." Echo said before staying silent.

I shook the feeling off before knocking on my Dads office. A faint " Come in" was heard and I walked into the office to see my father, my mother, and his Beta and Gemma, all standing around his desk.

"Sit." My dad said and pointed to the two empty seats in front of him. Jake and I slowly made our to the seats and sat down.

"I fear we might have bad news." My mother spoke and looked at us.
