Chapter 13

Wedding

-\ TONY'S POV /-

I was pacing back and forth. I couldn't tie my tie. I needed Pepper. She's always good with this sort of thing. I was nervous. My future was about to start and I couldn't tie my own tie.

After about fifteen minutes pepper walked in with happy.

She said, "Tony are you alright?"

"Yes... no... I don't know."

I turned around to face her still fidgeting with my tie," help?"

She handed her things to happy and then walked over and helped me with my tie.

"There. Perfect."

"Thank you pepper," I smiled at her then looked back at happy," you got yourself a hell of a woman here Mr. Hogan."

"Thank you sir."

I looked back at pepper," the three of us are going to go take our seats now tony. Don't be to long," she started to support her 6 month belly.

"I won't. I just need to make a phone call to an old friend."

"Tony..."

"Two minutes."

"Hurry tony."

She smiled at me then left with happy and found there seats. Once the doors were shut I went and made my phone call. When another knock came at the door I saw it was Bruce.

"Who was that?"

"An old friend."

"Come on tony"

"Just a second," I looked in the mirror one last time, "I'm good to go."

"Ok well come on."

I turned off my phone and followed Bruce down to the hallway. When he and the others were done making there way to the top of the stage the music started to play. I didn't want a traditional wedding so I convinced Steve to let me walk out to AC/DC's Shoot To Thrill.

As I started to walk down the isle I saw that each seat was taken, by shield agents, friends, the only real family I had (Pepper, the new baby, Happy and Rhodey) and then I saw Steve. He was dressed in his military uniform. My jaw dropped when I saw him. I also noticed he was sing along with the song. Something I hadn't expected.

When I got to the end of the isle and was standing side by side with Steve everything just felt right.

As we walked down the isle and out to my car I knew my life was set for it's next new adventure.

-\ STEVE'S POV /-

Days later I found myself on a bridge early in the morning for my run. The sun was just starting to show and the occasional car would drive by.

I only closed my eyes for less than a second. When I opened them I was standing in the middle of this room that over looked the earth.

"And me with out my shield."

Then I heard foot steps from behind me, "captain there is no need. We felt it would be easier to bring you here and apologize for the inconvenience."

"Your human"

"I'm afraid not captain. The guardians thought you would be more comfortable with someone of your own kind."

"Oh," I looked back at the earth, "why am I here."

"Your daughters life is in danger captain."

I turned to him, "what do you mean danger?"

"She will be born with powers far greater than some of the worlds heroes and in order to protect her you must disappear from her life. There is something far more dangerous than what you're about to face. You must come with us or your daughter, husband and family will be left at the mercy of this thing."

"Thing?"

"I can't tell you anymore than that. I'm sorry."

"Is this to protect my family?"

"Yes. When this is all over you will get to go home."

"How can I trust you."

"I had a daughter and son too. I didn't listen and my entire family was killed."

"I'm sorry."

"I am too. Please don't make the same mistakes I did."

"Alright. When do I leave."

"Your planet will be attacked by an Asgardian known as loki several weeks from now. We will come for you then."

"Am I going to die?"

"Only for a short time."

I looked back at the watt and placed my hand on the glass, "I'm never going to get to see her grow up," I looked down as an image of pepper appeared. It was a live image. She was holding her belly."

"Is she what you think of captain?"

I looked up at the glass, "pepper? yes. She agreed to have my and Tony's baby."

"She is beautiful for one of your earth women."

I smiled, "her husband sure thinks so," I let go of the glass.

"Captain you can't tell anyone about this."

"I'll do what ever I have to to protect my daughter. But there is one thing you must know, the captain, the man you think I am... he was my father."

"No, the guardians never make mistakes. Captain rogers," The man placed his hand on my chest then I appeared back where I had last been running.
