I was dressed in one of my suits. I guess this was no big deal because I had gotten used to Peter being around. For Steve it was a big deal, he wanted to make a good impression but also give off the 'hurt my daughter and you better not show your face in the city' kind of impression.
When I couldn't take it anymore I went in and grabbed a pair of jeans, his blue plaid long sleeved shirt, bomber jacket and boots. He looked good in it and I wanted to show him off the way he was.
"Get dressed in this. I'll be waiting in the room."
"Alright."
A few minutes later he walked out.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. Steve be yourself. I am."
"And he doesn't mind all of this?"
"I told him if he hurt our daughter that I would kill him."
Steve came and took my hand and we walked out to the living space as he said, "well at least one of us did."
The two sat at the bar and waited for Peter and Chloe to return. Steve was probably more nervous than the others and tony knew it.
"Steve it's going to be fine."
The truth is it was fine. Peter and steve got along well. they got along so well that tony had to sweep steve away so they could let peter take there daughter on her date.
