Steve walked into peppers room. When pepper saw Steve she said, "You're alive. Thank god," she looked at the door to see no one there, "where's Chloe?" Steve stood there quiet. Silence told pepper the bad news.

Steve wrapped his arms around pepper when she started to cry then said, "I'm headed off to burry her. I came here to get you." Pepper stood back, "can I see her?"

Steve said, "pepper, I don't think that's the best."

Pepper said, "i need to see my daughter."

Steve nodded his head then looked at happy, "you're welcome to come too. Happy, you were her father too."

Happy placed his hand out, "thank you Steve." Steve nodded his head, "I'm just sorry I couldn't bring her home."

They left outside.

Tony opened the lid to the casket then stepped back. Pepper took a deep breath then walked up to her daughter, "now I lay you down to sleep, I pray the lord your soul to keep, may the good lord guide you to the next life, where you live in peace and help pour out the rain." pepper leaned down and kissed her daughters forehead just as it started to rain. Pepper raised back up and smiled then placed Chloe's favorite doll in her arms and said, "sweet dreams my love. Say hello to everyone for me," she blew a kiss to her daughter then stepped aside for tony.

tony placed a rose in his daughters hair then kissed her cheek, "Little girl, I once had something special that money couldnt buy. If I was asked one question, why I thought the world of you, I could give a million answers and they'd all be true. The heart ache and the sadness may not always show..." a tear fell from tonys face onto chloe's, "People say the hurt lessens, but little do they know," another tear slipped from tonys eye, "Meet me in my dreams, and talk to me once more, and ease this ever lasting pain that makes my heart so sore. This road your papa and i are headed down is a long one. With a river of tears for every mile, and i know one day, some day, when I reach the end, I'll see you there smiling and waiting for me. It will be like a dream, but in the end, when we meet, I will know that you are safe, so rest my little girl, and i'll see you at the end of this long and winding road," tony stepped aside for steve.

"i wasnt in your life as much as i should of been, and the little i was, well I saw someone who made me proud to be a father. I'm just sorry i couldnt protect you. I'm sorry I couldnt save my little girl. There was a quote a friend once told me, and it goes like this... You and I will meet again, when were least expecting it. One day in some far off place, i will recognize your face," steve leaned down and kissed his daughters cheek, "I wont say good bye, but I will say, till next time," steve looked at his daughter while trying to fight back the tears, "for you and I will meet again," steve smiled at his daughter then closed the lid to the casket. Raleigh Spoke up, "please stand aside," raleigh used her gifts to dig a hole then looked at steve, "she was my friend to. She saved my life in that fight. I'm sorry I couldn't return the favor," she then stepped aside and let steve and tony lower the caket into the ground. Steve then picked up a handful of dirt and dropped it into the hole. Tony did the same then peper and the others followed. Once they were done Raleigh filled the hole then placed the tombstone. after a moment of silence peper and her family went back into the base, mainly to get her kids out of the rain.

after another moment steve and tony walked inside. when raleigh saw they were gone she got down on her knees then placed her hands on the turned dirt then said, "the guardians will be watching. You will rise again soon," before dissapearing.
