Chapter 5: Team Avatar

It's been a few days as we slowly started to get back into things. Asami's house has been closed down since her father was now in prison so now she, Mako and Bolin are living on Air Temple island with us which they seemed pretty happy about and thankful that we don't hate them for not believing us when everything went down. Also coming out with some big news Lin resigned from police work so she could try and do things her way which worried me with how she can get sometimes. One night we couldn't find Korra so Mako, Bolin, Asami and I went around the island to find her until I noticed Pabu run into a bush like he found something I motion for the others to follow as we found Korra sitting my the edge looking out into the city. She quickly wiped away some tears when she saw us though.

Bolin: "There you are, are you alright."

Korra: "Yea I'm fine."

Me: "Korra somethings biting at you, we're your friends you can tell us." she sighed

Korra: "How can I save the city when I can't even learn Airbending I'm the worst Avatar ever, I Just feel... alone." I frowned at this because she was clearly trying to put everything on her shoulders.

Asami: "Now that's nonsense you are amazing." Mako nodded in agreement.

Mako: "Yea and remember Aang hadn't mastered all the elements quickly either and he had all of his friends to help him too."

Bolin: "Mako's right and even though the arena has been shut down we're still a team, the new Team Avatar!" the four of us put our hands together to show this. Korra stood up and place her hand on top of ours.

Korra: "Yea! Let's do it." That's when Meelo decided to drop in and let rip a huge fart on top of our hands.

Meelo: "Yea let's do it... uh what're we doing again." we all burst out laughing at Meelo's antics before rushing off to the city.

We couldn't all fit on Naga unfortunately but thankfully when councilman Tarrlok first tried to get Korra to join his task force he gave her a car as a gift. We all hoped in with Asami at the wheel, Mako in the passenger seat and Korra, Bolin and I in the back as we sped of to the docks. We were patrolling the city looking for anything related to any equalist activity, that's when we heard a police call on the radio and Asami hit the gas so we could catch up to them. We pulled around a corner to see about four motorcycles and an armored truck speeding down the street. Mako shot lightning at one of them destroying the engine while Bolin threw some rocks at the other one popping it's back tires. As we started to get closer I came up with an Idea. "Asami get me as close as you can to that truck." She nodded while shifting gears giving us more speed. I jumped onto the hood of our car once we got close enough I jump onto the roof of the truck. Once I landed an equalist member jumped out of the passenger seat to try and engage me. He threw a kick to my head which made me lean back a bit almost falling off the edge but I used that to my advantage as he tried to punch me, I dodged around it wrapping around to his back. He seemed to expect this as he threw a back kick trying to push me away but I had predicted this already and spun down while kicking the side of his head with the back of my heel sending him flying off the side. I pushed up to the front of the truck throwing myself through the passenger window kicking the driver in the face forcing him out of the car which gave me the chance to stop the car safely. After that reporters started flooding onto the scene to take pictures of us for tomorrow's paper no doubt. That's when two police cars approached us and Tarrlok stepped out looking very angry.

Tarrlok: "Avatar Korra what do you think you're doing." Korra only smirked

Korra: "Oh hey there Tarrlok nice of you to show up after we already did everything for you." that only angered him more

Tarrlok: "This is your last warning stay out of my way." with that he stormed off while we snickered at his outburst.

The next night I sat out for their mission I was having some recurring side pain from our battle with Hiroshi and the new mechs. It was a quiet night and I just spent some quality time with Naga when Korra entered the room fuming.
