Chapter 39: The Dragon Slaying God

Serena rushed at me engulfing his fist with all four elements as he slammed it right into my gut using his Airbending to propel me further into the wall behind me. Before I collided with the wall I flipped myself around so that I landed on my feet causing a huge crater to form as I pushed fire out of my feet back towards Serena and even activating my Dragon Force as well giving me more of a boost throwing my fist out to his face yet he just caught it with one hand but it did push him back a little. Then I pushed myself off of him driving my heel down smacking his head down. Yet with that he just spun on his heel lifting his other leg up to kick me barely giving me the time to block it as it sent me flying once more as well as making my arm go numb. I quickly recovered breathing more fire towards him but he just created a wave of water dousing the flames creating a large field of mist covering my vision as it surrounded me. I took to the defensive as I waited and listened for his next attack yet despite my good sense of hearing I was unable to dodge a large boulder as it connected with my stomach making me cough up some blood and giving Serena the time to catch up to me as he punched me in the face causing me to reer back as I gritted my teeth headbutting him back making him growl in anger. I channeled up my power engulfing my entire body in white flames rushing forward driving both of my fists into his gut sending him back into his throne making it break in the process. Serena emerged from the ruble barely with a scratch on him as he cracked his neck a bit.

Serena: "I must say this is the most fun I've had in quite a long time but unfortunately for you I still have yet to show my true power." The air started to blow around him as he closed his eyes taking deep breaths and I could feel the power building up around him as the whole castle started to shake in the process. That's when he opened his eyes and they were pure black with a white slit in the middle for this was his godly Dragon Force. "Warmup is over the real battle starts now."

He disappeared from my sight and I found myself gagging once more as he was now in my gut smiling wickedly as I was sent flying into the wall unable to correct myself this time. It didn't stop there as he grabbed me by the neck throwing me up into the air before jumping back up to my level delivering a barrage of elemental punches into my whole body then giving me one last flip kick to the chest sending me crashing into the ground while he safely landed back up to his throne.

Serena: "You see the difference in our power now Salamander I'm a god nor mere bender could ever dream on defeating me." I laughed a little as I slowly pushed myself up. I ached all over and was badly cut and bruised yet I still forced myself to stand.

Me: "You're right no mere bender could ever defeat you, but lucky for me I'm not your average bender." Flames began to circle around me turning from white to blue as I tapped in to my fathers last gift to me before starting this war. The power to slay a god. "If I recall you said the warm up was over, so let's begin the real battle."

I rushed forward catching him off guard with my new speed as I drove my fist into his chin knocking him back a little, then proceeded to kick him several times in the side of the face giving him as little time as possible to recover. I didn't work for my last kick was caught my his hand as he growled in anger spinning me around and tossing me back a bit. I flipped mid air scrapping my hand against the ground then pushing back into it causing a stream of flame to shoot forward under Serena lifting him up off the ground. He wasn't allowing that for he then used his Earthbending to knock me off my feet as well as he shook the whole floor beneath me. We both recovered before engaging once more trading blows to the face and gut trying to get the better of one another but the problem was he was winning as I could just barely hold onto my father's power any longer. I one last attempt I pushed myself off of him feeling my power build up once more.

Me: "KAIOKEN!!!" My power exploded around me creating strong winds that even pushed Serena back a bit.

I vanished from sight appearing behind Serena as I kicked him up into the air then appeared above him kicking him back to the ground with so much force he bounced up a bit and I didn't stop there as I drove my fist into his his gut sending him back onto the ground making the crater bigger than his first contact with it. Then I grabbed him from his shirt throwing him to the wall before bringing my hands together.
