Chapter 31: Finding the Light

Gajeel started by rushing me throwing a Metallic fist to my face which I easily dodged spinning to plant my elbow into his face before bending down to drive my heel up his chin. He growled a bit grabbing my heel spinning me off the ground throwing me into the nearby building. I quickly pushed myself out of the debrie to dodge a shining piece of metal as it just grazed my cheek cutting it slightly. I kicked up a piece of wood on the ground spinning it around catching all of the blades he sent at me before igniting it throwing it back at him. I took that time to rush back at him closing the distance as he cut the piece of flame in half with his metal blade then extended it towards me. I grabbed the end with my left hand allowing me to turn around it as I slammed my right elbow into it breaking the blade completely except for the remaining shard in my left hand which I threw at him implanting it into his shoulder. He only grunted slightly ripping the blade out sticking it in his mouth to consume it. My eyes widened in surprise as he planted his foot into my gut sending me flying once more. I used my flames to help me correct myself mid air as I slid back a bit scrapping my hand on the concrete a little in the process. I looked up towards Gajeel to find him smirking a bit.

Gajeel: "I must say Salamander this truly is worth the wait and I've noticed I'm unable to bend your left arm what's it made of? Surely it's a metal otherwise it'd be ripped to shreds right now." I smirked a bit.

Me: "You're right about the metal part as for what type pure Titanium the only Metal you can't bend." He raised an eyebrow at me.

Gajeel: "Oh so you've found my secret have ya? Too bad it still won't let you win this fight." He rushed me once more but with even more speed catching me off guard a little as I put my arm up just in time to block a left kick to my head. He didn't stop there as he had hidden metal in his heel driving it through my arm. I winced but still pushed his leg away jumping up to kick him in the chest before pulling the blade out of my arm.

Me: "That was a cheap move." He just snickered a bit.

Gajeel: "Who said this fight had to be fair?" I smirked a bit igniting my arm to close the wound.

Me: "If that's the case then you'll love this." I breathed in deeply before glaring right into his eyes. "KAIOKEN!" Red aura engulfed my entire body and I rushed Gajeel with extreme speed planting my palm into his face slamming him into three different buildings before stopping in my tracks tossing him up in the air. But he expected that as he threw out a metal pole into the side of the building causing him to flip a bit, using the momentum he threw himself back down at me slamming his fist into my hand as I caught his attack. That's when I noticed his skin start to change to black and a black aura surround his body. He actually pulled me up of the ground startling me as he slammed his fist into my face sending me flying into the buildings behind me. I crashed through the otherside pushing myself up slowly. "Damn that hurt like hell maybe Asami should've made a face mask for me or something." I stood up straight cracking my neck a bit and looked down to see my jacket tattered as the left sleeve was missing down to my chest showing my undershirt and my pants had a few holes in them as well. I heard some crunching in front of me and I looked up to see Gajeel trudging through the remainder of the building smirking at me.

Gajeel: "That was a pretty neat trick too bad you used all of that power up." I just chuckled a bit since he was right my muscles were super sore now and I could barely keep my eyes open.

Me: "That's true I'm pretty much at my limit but I can't give up here not when I made a promise to Metalicana." He stopped in his tracks with a surprised look on his face and I smirked, maybe I can use this against him.

Gajeel: "The hell are you talkin about?" I just laughed lightly still a little dazed but maybe if I stall him enough I can regain some power.

Me: "You would've known this if you hadn't cut yourself off from him in fact he was the one who told me you couldn't bend Titanium he wants you to lose." He started to growl angrily his aura growing darker.
