Chapter 10: Preperations

We arrived at Republic city rather late dropping the others off first on Air Temple Island before Olivia, Korra, Tenzin and I went to find the president at the arena. Once we got there I could see Bolin and Asami talking with the president as reporters took pictures when we landed Bolin came up to hug me.

Bolin: "Brandon you're back I missed you did you find what you're looking." I nodded.

Me: "It's good to see you too Bolin and yes I did and maybe even a little more, Bolin... Asami meet my sister Olivia." Bolin squealed a bit and gave her a hug.

Bolin: "I always wanted a sister!" Olivia was surprised and looked at me.

Olivia: "Is he always like this?" I laughed.

Me: "Only if you leave him alone too long." Asami walked up to her.

Asami: "It's nice to meet you are you a bender like Brandon?" She nodded.

Olivia: "Yup I'm a Water Dragon Slayer while Brandon is the Fire Dragon Slayer." They both looked at me asking for an explanation so I quickly filled them in about what happened after I left and Bolin just acted like a little kid.

Bolin: "That is soooo cool do you think you could teach me how to be a Dragon Slayer." I shook my head.

Me: "Sorry Bolin but we're the last one's left because there aren't anymore dragons around to teach people." He got sad a little and that's when Korra walked up to the president.

Korra: "President Raiko we need your help Unalaq doesn't want to just control the south... he wants to destroy the whole world." He looked at her in disbelief and had to look at Tenzin and I for confirmation and we just nodded. "He's planning on releasing a dark spirit named Vaatu on the day of Harmonic Convergence." That's when I stepped in.

Me: "That's not the only thing he's trying to release there's a Dragon named Acnologia who was imprisoned there by my grandfather Igneel and If he escapes as well then this world will burn." He stopped to think before coming up with a solution.

Raiko: "I'm sorry but I can't help you." We were in shock how could he just do this.

Tenzin: "Raiko there are millions of people on the line including my daughter you must reconsider." He just shook his head.

Raiko: "I'm sorry but if what you say is true then I need my forces here protecting my city I'm sorry but my decision is final." With that he walked off.

Me: "Dammit doesn't he understand what we're trying to prevent." Korra put her hand on my shoulder calming me down.

Korra: "It's alright we'll figure this out." She turned back to Bolin and Asami. "It's nice to see you all again but where's Mako shouldn't he be with you?" They looked at each other and explained how Mako was thrown in jail but was wrongly accused of what happened so we went to bail him out of prison where he got a hero's welcome for solving the case that It was actually some guy named Varrick who tried to start a war against the north. Korra ran up and kissed him but everyone seemed very surprised at this which confused me because they were dating so it's only natural for that to happen... right? I leaned over to Asami to ask her about it.

Me: "Did something happen?" she seemed a little angry at the scene and huffed at me.

Asami: "Why don't you just ask Mako." I raised an eyebrow and decided not to go any further with it. That's when Mako came up to me once we made eye contact.

Mako: "Brandon it's good to see that you're back what happened once you got in the Fire Nation?" I smiled and explained everything and introduced him to Olivia as well. "Wow sounds like you had quite the time." I laughed.
