Chapter 17: The Red Lotus and the Dark Wizard

We Tracked Aiwei all the way to the Misty Palms Oasis and decided to split up Mako, Bolin, and Olivia were to scope out the town to see if they could find Aiwei while Korra, Asami, and myself waiting by the jeep to see if he would come back. Once they left Asami went to search Aiwei's jeep while Korra and I watched over the town when Korra sighed in frustration.

Me: "Everything alright?" She shook her head and pulled her knees up to her chest.

Korra: "I just don't get it what does Zaheer want with me anyways it's not like I did anything to the guy... right?" I just shook my head and looked back down to the town.

Me: " I couldn't answer that question plus I have a few questions of my own but for that Zeref guy he knew I was a Dragon Slayer instantly and the strange thing is... I feel some sort of connection with him it's strange but I swear I've seen him before." Korra just looks at me sadly.

Korra: "Have you tried talking to Igneel about it?" I shook my head.

Me: "He isn't responding and I don't know why before I woke up he said there was a danger coming for you and that I would have to protect you but didn't say what exactly and now he's gone silent again." Korra looked back at me sadly until I heard Asami clear her throat.

Asami: "Sorry to interrupt you two but I think I found something you might want to see." We both jump down as Asami hands us a piece of paper. "It says that they're planning to meet at some place called Xai Bau's Grove but I can't find it on the map." Why did that name sound familiar I feel like I've heard of that place before but can't wrap my head around it. That's when I heard Mako and Bolin walk up behind us.

Me: "Did you guys find Aiwei." They both nodded.

Mako: "We found out he's staying at the local motel Olivia is waiting down there to see if he leaves." Korra jumped up ready to go.

Korra: "Alright let's go knock his door down and grab him." I laughed and smacked the back of her head lightly.

Me: "You don't think sometimes, we know where he is so let's head down there and wait him out until he leaves for Zaheer's meeting then that's when we'll follow him and get the information we need." They all nod in agreement and we headed down to the Motel where we found Olivia keeping out of sight but still had view of where Aiwei was staying. We got a room directly across from him and boy was it cramped. Naga basically tried to own the bed making the rest of us sit on the floor and the one chair that was in the room Bolin and Asami found an old Pai Sho board so that kept them occupied. Korra and Mako just watched outside to see if Aiwei moved while Olivia and I decided to do some image training Igneel taught us by meditating. Through this training we were able to form a spiritual bond between each other allowing us to talk into each other's thoughts and basically feel where we are in case we got seperated. Once it hit sundown my meditation was interrupted when Korra stormed out of the room heading straight for Aiwei. We tried to stop her but she's a persistent one as she kicked the door down only for us to find Aiwei... meditating?

Korra: "This doesn't make any sense why would he be meditating when he's supposed to meet Zaheer right now." That's when it clicked in my head.

Me: "That's because he's not meeting Zaheer in this world he's meeting him in the Spirit World now I remember why that name sounded familiar Igneel spoke about it once during our training." Korra sat down in front of Aiwei getting into a meditation stance.

Korra: "I'm going in after him I need to know what Zaheer wants with me." I smile and sit behind her so we were back to back.

Me: "I'm coming too if Zaheer is going to be there then maybe Zeref will be as well if not then I'll ask Zaheer all of my questions." She just nods and closes her eyes. "You guys watch our bodies for us alright we'll try and make this quick." They nodded and took to different positions guarding us. Then I closed my eyes and let my mind wander to the Spiritual World.
