Chapter 18: A New Threat

When my vision finally cleared I noticed I was in some sort of cell as I was currently chained up against a bar on the wall. I looked around to see Asami was next to me chained up as well while Korra was strapped in a straight jacket with a muzzle on her face. Once she noticed me she immediately perked up.

Korra: "Brandon are you alright?" I nodded making her sigh in relief. "We got worried because you didn't get back from the Spirit World the same time I did." I looked at her confused how could that be Igneel sent us back at the same time didn't he? Maybe I just slept or something until now.

Me: "So then what happened where are we exactly?" I looked around and I could faintly hear the sound of propellers?

Asami: "Shortly after I got you two out of the Misty Palms Oasis I was ambushed by some of the Earth Queen's forces who are now taking us to her they actually didn't know who you were but figure you were wanted as well since you were with the Avatar." I laughed a little and popped an idea into my head.

Me: "So then they don't know that I can do.... This!" I said as I heated up the metal cuffs with my bending causing them to crack and break free. I rubbed my wrist before doing the same to Asami I went to help Korra but stopped. "Wait a minute I have another Idea." They looked at me confused as I walked over to the door and knocked on it. "Um excuse me guard? My chains came loose and was wondering if you can help me out?" I heard some ruffing outside until the door flew open just for the guard to meet my fist to his face knocking him out cold. "Sorry buddy we just need to save the world." I grabbed his keys and free'd Korra from her bindings and we raced out to the cockpit in order to gain control of the airship. I kicked in the door as Korra Air bent the pilot and the captain into the center console breaking it completely and I smacked Korra upside the head. "Nice going numb nuts now we can't fly the damn thing and we're about to crash." She just stuck her tongue out at me blowing air into my face.

Korra: "It's not my fault this thing is a hunk of junk." I looked up and saw a mountain of sand getting dangerously close I quickly grab Korra, Asami and the two soldiers and threw them down bracing them for impact. Once we made contact I was thrown off my feet and landed straight onto the broken console with everyone else landing on top of me as I groaned in pain.

Asami: "Sorry Brandon are you alright?" I nodded slowly and picked both her and Korra up off of me while scooting the soldiers away.

Me: "Damn and I thought I was ready for that." I laughed a bit before pushing myself up as we climbed up through the roof hatch to check out the damages. And of course with our luck half of the ship was buried in the sand and both Propellers were bent all out of shape. We turned around and saw the crew start to pour out and one of them looked very unhappy with a small bruise on his face.

Guard: "What was all of that for man you tricked me." I scratched the back of my head sheepishly.

Me: "Sorry man it's just we couldn't let Korra get to the earth queen there's a bunch of dangerous people out there who want to get her so we need to keep her somewhere that isn't behind bars." He just grumbled a bit as the Captain stepped up behind him.

Captain: "Don't worry before we crashed I radiod Ba Sing Sae they should be sending out rescue ships for us so we'll just have to sit tight and wait."

Korra: "Sorry but I'm not waiting around in the desert while these people are out there plotting to do something terrible now are you going to help us or not." They all looked at each other nodding in agreement.

Captain: "Alright fine have it your way Men let's get to work the quicker we get this thing fixed the quicker we can get out of here." With that they all scattered as we started to get the damn thing out of the sand first.
