Chapter 28: Reuinion

The flight back to the city was quiet Korra and I took this hit hard we've never really lost this bad before. Olivia helped heals our wounds Korra luckily received the least of them with only a few scratches. She also filled us in on how well her waterbending has become as she's mastered her Dragon Force and has found the ability to form water out of thin air and she's become a top tier healer as well. As she rambled on about spending time with mom and everything about her training I could be happy that she's grown so much. I looked back and saw Korra sitting in the very back looking out into the horizon clearly distracted. I scooted closer to her and she subconsciously leaned up against me.

Me: "You doin alright sweetie?" She shook her head.

Korra: "I should've won that fight, with all of the poison gone I should be fine but it's still haunting me." I smiled at her a little.

Me: "Hey I lost too remember we both just need to get back into the swing of things I just hope Asami doesn't kill me for breaking the arm she made me." Korra chuckled at that which made me happy. A few hours went by and we finally arrived back on Air Temple Island with a very energetic Polar Bear Dog waiting for us.

Korra: "Naga!" She jumped off as soon as we landed giving Naga a huge hug. "I missed you so much girl." Olivia helped me slide off the bisons back and I was tackled to the ground immediately.

Me: "I missed you too Naga but I can't breathe girl." I pushed her off with Olivia's help and that's when Bumi showed up who actually slimmed down a bit since I last saw him.

Bumi: "Well aren't you three a sight for sore eyes, Bumgu and I missed you." He said glomping Olivia, Korra and myself in a big hug.

Korra: "It's so good to see you again Bumi and you too Bumgu." The spirit hummed happily and then Bumi noticed my arm.

Bumi: "Brandon what happened to your arm?" I laughed a bit rubbing the back of my head sheepishly.

Me: "It's a long story we'll fill you in when the others get here." As if on que Tenzin walked up to us hugging us all.

Tenzin: "It's been too long you three, I've missed you."

Korra: "We missed you too Tenzin."

Tenzin: "Now I hate to get right down to business but I want to know everything that happened in Zaofu." Korra and I just looked down sadly.

Bumi: "Way to ruin the mood."

Opal: "Kuvira's whole army was there, she captured mom, dad and all of my brothers." Korra looked at Tenzin sadly.

Korra: "I thought I was ready I feel like such a failure." I looked at her sadly.

Me: "As for me I'm in the same boat, there's a Metal Dragon Slayer in her army and he can bend any metal, so he broke my metal arm and now we're back here." Tenzin nodded sadly.

Tenzin: "No one expected you two to handle Kuvira on your own, it's up to all of us to find a way to deal with her before it's too late if anything we're just glad to have you all back." I smiled at him a bit.

Bumi: "Where's Bolin, surely he wouldn't still be on Kuvira's side would he?" I looked at Opal sadly I feel like this has taken a big hit on her.

Opal: "I can't believe he would still be with her after what she did to my family... we don't know where he is." i put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Me: "Don't worry I'm sure he's fine and knowing him he's definitely not with Kuvira anymore he's not that kind of person." She smiled at me and I stretched a bit. "Now I don't know about you guys but I'd like to see the city again, plus I have a scary appointment with Asami she'll never forgive me." They all laughed at that and Korra and myself left to change and wash up. We also decided to share a room now that we're together aaaand out of her parents house. Korra changed back into her old clothes but she covered her arms with some longer sleeves yet still had our matching arm bands on her left bicep while I had to move mine over to my right since my arm is now missing. We called up Mako and Asami first to see if they wanted to grab lunch or something and we agreed to meet at a rather fancy restaurant to celebrate our return to the city. A few hours later and we fou Asami reading a magazine in the restaurants waiting area.
