We've been flying for a few hours now but we should be at the Temple any minute now yet I still can't get Acnologia out of my head I've been starting to have visions of him killing me and everyone else and I can't stop it. I must've been making a face because Korra moved over to sit next to me.
Korra: "Hey is something wrong you look troubled." I sighed.
Me: "Yea but I don't know how I'm supposed to tell you." She put her hand on my shoulder.
Korra: "Brandon you can tell me anything now what's bothering you." I looked her in the eyes and grabbed her hand from my shoulder.
Me: "Before Igneel left he told me that I would have to face Acnologia if he ended up escaping and that only I can do it... but he also said that I could die in the process." She squeezed my hand hard as her eyes went wide with a few tears starting to form.
Korra: "No that can't be right I saw their battle ten thousand years ago Acnologia is too powerful for just you alone we need to face him together." I shook my head at her.
Me: "No Korra Igneel said that I have to do this alone even if it kills me and if that's what it takes from keeping the people and world that I love safe then so be it." I snapped Korra leaned back startled by my sudden outburst tears starting to fall and I could see Olivia crying softly as well. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell it's just... Igneel said that I'm the only one who can defeat him I don't want to risk the only family I have." Korra slowly wrapped her arms around me squeezing me tight.
Korra: "Do you think I want to lose you either I told you before don't put everything on yourself if we can't close the portals and have to fight then we will defeat Unalaq and Acnologia together alright so please don't talk like you have to do it all on your own, I can't lose you." She said that last part in a whisper. I sighed sadly I didn't want to make anyone sad with this but I also can't lose the people closest to me. I slowly returned the hug as we sat there for a little bit until Olivia called to us.
Olivia: "We're here you guys." Korra separated from me and wiped a few tears away.
Me: "Korra... I will think about fighting together alright." She nodded and smiled slightly it wasn't the answer she wanted but it's the best she has right now. We landed just outside the temple and made our way up to one of the outside gardens where we found Tenzin, Bumi, Pema, the kids and an older woman I've never met before Tenzin was the first to see us.
Tenzin: "Korra, Brandon?" The kids then perked up and ran up to hug us both.
Korra: "I missed you all so much."
Tenzin: "We missed you too but I thought you were in the South Pole training and Brandon I thought you were in the Fire Nation." Korra and I looked at each other.
Korra: "Wait so you mean you don't know about the civil war." This seemed to interest everyone.
Tenzin: "What no we've been out of contact with the outside world since we started our vacation."
Bumi: "It was all Tenzin's Idea for a perfect vacation."
Tenzin: "Please Korra tell us everything." Korra nodded and started filling them in on everything that happened once she was finished everyone got serious again. "I knew this would happen and Brandon what about you and who is your new friend?" I smiled.
Me: "Well I'll fill you in on my adventure later but for now everyone I would like you all to meet my sister Olivia." Pema and Tenzin eyes went wide while the kids ran up to hug her.
Ikki: "Yay I have a new sister now." Olivia was startled at first with the sudden outburst but then smiled warmly and hugged them all. Pema also came up to give her a hug.
