Chapter 13: Awakening

White that's all I saw I couldn't move my body as far as I know I could be dead right now I mean I did use up all my power so it would make sense to me if I died Igneel said so after all.

Igneel: "Indeed I did say that but lucky for you your not actually dead." Then a rush hit me hard as I sat up quickly breathing heavily. I looked around to see that I was in a cave of some sorts and I looked over to see Igneel smiling at me while he sat near a fire. "You're awake I see come come sit by the fire it'll make you feel better." I struggled to stand so instead I crawled over next to Igneel and started to feel the warmth of the fire flow through me.

Me: "Where... where am I" Igneel chuckled softly.

Igneel: "Well you're in the Spirit World and this is my home I brought you here after you fainted so I could heal your spirit saving you I have to admit it was a close call using the Kaioken and the Kamehameha at the same time you actually could've died." I looked down sadly but Igneel put his arm around me and pulled me closer. "Ah don't worry about it you're alive and that's what matters now I have a new mission for you." He said in a more serious tone. "There's a great change coming and the Avatar will need your help I fear it could be dangerous for her." I nodded firmly.

Me: "Will I be able to handle it alone?" He shook his head.

Igneel: "I'm not sure it's still unknown exactly what is coming." I nodded then shifted a little.

Me: "So uh how do I exactly get back to my real body?" He chuckled and slowly placed his hand on my head and I felt like I was being yanked out of my body as I sat up rather quickly instantly regretting it as I fell back down onto something... wet? Once I could see straight again I looked around noticing I was in a room on Air Temple Island. I looked down to see that I was laying in some sort of pool and was only wearing pants while my whole upper half was wrapped in bandages covering my stomach were Acnologia blew a hole and me and it wrapped across my right shoulder keeping it held together. I also noticed my forearms were bandaged as well. I slowly got up and had to use some of the furniture for support as my legs still felt like jello. I grabbed my undershirt which seemed to be repaired as well and walked out into the hallway. It was quiet which probably meant that they were all eating so I limped my way to the dining room using the wall as support. Once I got there everyone was looking at Bumi as he was explaining how he used airbending today. I was confused because he was a non bender and smirked because I'd take this distraction to try and surprise everyone but that's when Meelo threw a plate at Bumi. I expected it to hit him square in the face but he was actually able to stop it with a small sphere of air surrounding it. Everyone's mouths dropped at the sight and I took that as my que to enter. "Damn Bumi I didn't know you've been holding out on us this entire time." They all stopped and slowly turned to me I just put up my hand waving. "Hey guys what'd I miss." They all looked at me and smiled as I was then tackled into a hug by Korra who squeezed me tightly as if I was going to disappear or something.

Korra: "Thank goodness I... I thought I lost you." I smiled softly and hugged her back.

Me: "Hey I told you I'd be fine but uh do you think you can loosen your grip a little I'm still in pain." She stepped back quickly wiping tears from her eyes before she could speak the kids came up to hug me as well.

Jinora: "You're finally awake we were so worried about you." I chuckled a bit.

Me: "It's good to see you're alright too Jinora." They stepped back so Bolin and Asami could give me a hug as well Asami had a few tears in her eyes as well while Bolin seemed to be crying hysterically.

Bolin: "I thought I'd never see you again you've been out of it for a whole week." I froze at that.

Me: "Wait I've been out for a WEEK what happened?!"
