Chapter 21: A Long Road to Recovery

It's been about two days since Jinora's coronation and everyone decided to bring Korra back to the South Pole so she could start her rehabilitation with master Katara. I was going down there too of course much to Korra and her parents joy, they even offered to let me stay in their home which I was very grateful for but Asami asked for my help with her project so I'll have to join them later when I'm done. Today was the day Korra was to leave so Bolin, Asami, Mako, Olivia and myself were there to see her off.

Bolin: "Now don't take this the wrong way but... I can't wait for you to leave." Mako just shook his head at his brother.

Mako: "Bolin how else is she suppose to take that but the wrong way."

Bolin: "I mean because I never had a pen pal before I am going to write you so many letters and just to get the ball rolling here, spoil alert Pabu and I already miss you." He handed her his letter making her smile a bit.

Korra: "Thanks that's sweet." Asami came up and put her hands on her shoulder.

Asami: "And don't worry I'll try not to keep your boyfriend for too long." She said winking at me a little making Korra blush while I just chuckled.

Me: "I hope you don't but speaking of which you still haven't told me what you're working on." She just smiled at me holding up her finger.

Asami: "Don't worry I'll fill you in tomorrow when we start working." I just sighed and shook my head. Then we got the signal that it was time for her to leave. Korra looked sad so I walked up and placed my scarf around her neck kissing her forehead.

Me: "Keep this warm for me alright I'll see you as soon as I'm finished helping Asami." She smiled and nodded and I turned back towards Olivia. "I'll see you later too little sister." She looked at me confused. "Oh I didn't tell you I made a special request with Kya and Katara, I am happy to tell you that your training with them on healing arts begin at the end of the week." She looked at me with a mix of surprise and happiness as she ran up to give me a hug.

Olivia: "I can't believe you actually did that for me how did you even know." I laughed and ruffled her hair.

Me: "You should learn to pick up your books after you use them." She blushed a little making us all laugh at that.

Once they were aboard the ship we all stood on the docks waving goodbye to them until they were fully out of the harbor and soon out of sight. The next day I met Asami at one of her factories at her request and I was confused because all she did was take measurements of my body yet still wouldn't tell me what she was working on so I just took it as in she was making some sort of exosuit to help with construction or something. That was also the only day she's asked me to come so I'd spend my free time training and helping out around the island with whatever I can do. It's been about a week now since Korra left and it sucks without her and Olivia being here, I mean yea I have the others but they're busy now a days, Mako has been increasing his work as a detective since nothing terrible is happening for once, Asami's been cooped up in her workshop ever since and hasn't asked for any help like she needed so there goes that I guess, the Airbenders have been leaving one by one now to travel the world for whatever help they can offer, and Bolin... well he's just Bolin he talks of moving to Zaofu to help rebuild the Earth Kingdom which I think is good for him especially since he has the heart for it. Jinora has been busy with her Airbending Master stuff so she isn't around too much anymore and that basically leaves me alone for most of the days which sucks because I'm bored as hell now. I was currently reading an old book of mine since I've practically read all of the others when I saw Mako coming up the stairs.

Me: "Yo Mako what brings you here today?" He just smiled at me gesturing for me to follow him.

Mako: "Asami sent me over here to fetch you said she needs help with her project as it's entered the final stages she actually has everyone there we're just waiting for you." My eyes widened as I shot up to my feet.
