The Dragon and the Avatar

Chapter 14: A New Era

After finding out that there are new airbenders scattered around the Earth Kingdom Korra and the others decided to head to Ba Sing Sae so that they could obtain more information on the exact whereabouts of the new airbenders. I decided to stay behind until I was fully recovered and then meet up with them later. We watched as Asami parked her massive airship that would take them around the Earth Kingdom.

Asami: "Did somebody order a fully equipped Future Industries airship, I thought we could find the airbenders in style."

Me: "Asami you always know how to make things perfect." She blushed a little and smiled warmly.

Asami: "Oh it's nothing just want to help my friends that's all." I noticed Mako walking up behind the airship and Korra went to greet him. "I wish you could come too Brandon it would be nice if the whole team was together again." I waved her off.

Me: "Ah don't worry about me Asami, Kya said I should be better by the end of the week and Olivia should be here in a few days and if she went there to grab what I think she's grabbing then I should be go to go even sooner." she raised an eyebrow at me and Bolin stepped in.

Bolin: "What's she grabbing some sort of healing material for Dragon Slayers?" I nodded at him.

Me: "That's exactly what she would grab you see where I trained with Igneel he had a special fire that was his own and before I started training I had to east the fire." Now he and Asami looked at me like I was crazy until I explained it more to them. "You see as a Fire Dragon Slayer I can actually eat flames from a Fire Dragon and use it to give myself more strength I actually took some of that fire to use against Acnologia when he blasted the hole in my body." Bolin looked like a little kid again.

Bolin: "So basically you can fight forever as long as you can eat Dragon Fire." I nodded.

Me: "More or less but the only problem now would be that since Igneel isn't around anymore the flame will die out so I'll have to be smarter at things." Bolin looked at me sadly.

Bolin: "You must miss him don't you?" I nodded slowly smiling a bit as well.

Me: "I do he was part of my family and that's always something hard to lose but he's still inside of me so I know he'll always be with me and I'll have to get stronger as well to protect Livi she's all I have now." They both looked at me a little sad but I smiled back at them widley. "Don't worry you're all my family too now and Igneel said that now he lives in the Spirit World so when all the airbenders are found I'd like to take you all to meet him." They perked up at that and gave me a big hug.

Asami: "We'd love to meet him and never forget you can come to us with anything on your mind we'll get stronger with you." She squeezed a little tighter and I nodded in return. They pulled away when they saw Korra walk up to them but without Mako I raised an eyebrow at her.

Me: "What happened to Mako isn't he going with you guys?" She shook her head sadly.

Korra: "No he said that he had to do important police work but I feel like that's not the case." Bolin walked up and put a hand on her shoulder.

Bolin: "Don't worry I'll go talk to him." He ran off to find Mako and Korra turned back to me.

Korra: "Mako was kind enough to give us a map of the Earth Kingdom with all the current airbender sightings marked."

Me: "That's great you guys are already one step ahead of the game." Korra smiled back at me.

Korra: "Yup it's so exciting to be able to find new airbenders it still sucks that you can't come with us right now." She looked down sadly and I noticed Asami raise a questionable eyebrow at me like she knows something has happened between us recently and I shook my head at her telling her to drop it. That's when I notice Bolin coming back with Mako in tow.
