Chapter 26 - Strange Dreams

FLASHBACK:

I noticed it started raining and to thunder. The weather has been crappy. She's afraid of thunderstorms. The doctor's said sometimes is good to talk to the patients when they're in a coma or just passed out, so what the hell?

- I'm always here to hold your hand, ok?I will hold you through the storm, and I won't even stop when the good weather comes back. I love you. I always will.

It was about 2 a.m and one of her doctors entered the room to check on her.

- Do you know what caused the cardiac arrest?- I asked quietly.

-It's strange because we found a substance in her blood stream that kills, but her body rejected the substance.

- Was her own body that produced the substance?

- No. It had to be administred to her. We already secured her room with guards outside.Goodnight.-the doctor said leaving.

How could she have that type of substance in her body? Only me, Damien and Dianna were here. It has to be someone on the inside. "Think Nick, think".

I eventually fell asleep on the little sofa, with my head in her bed and holding her hand.

CURRENTLY:

JADE'S POV:

I was in a field with some trees and many wild flowers, the weather was a bit strange. Lots of dark grey clouds and it threatened to rain.The view was still beautiful. The leaves of the trees were a light green and the wild flowers filled the place with color. Blue, red, pink, purple, yellow and white.

I wandered around the field, observing the landscape.

-Do you like it? - A familiar voice coming from behind me quietly asked.

- Yeah. - I said turning around and seing a guy with light brown hair,big blue-ish eyes, tall.He probably was between seventeen and nineteen years old His smile made my stomach act a bit strange. I was not afraid him, no, I felt some kind of butterflies. It was like I knew him from somewhere, but I couldn't remember of where, but it wasn't the guy from the memory of the trembling of my hand. - Do I know you?

- Maybe - He said smirking, making me blush.

"He is cute" my mind said quietly.

- What's your name?- I questioned him.

- Damien. What's yours?

Where do I know this name? I know I knew him from somewhere. He was so familiar. Why couldn't I recognize him? I was trying so hard.

I sat down in the grass and motioned to him to do the same and he did.

-Jade. - I answered after a few seconds in silence.

Suddenly it started raining but I didn't felt a drop of water touching my body, so I looked up and saw that the boy had a black umbrella over us. I stared at the top of the umbrella admiring the little sunlight that shined through the  dark color of the umbrella.

A couple minutes later I looked at him and he was already looking at me.He smiled at me. We exchanged glances and then I started to hear some beeping noises and Damien started to fade away.

I woke up in the hospital room again. My eyes took a while to adjust to the moonlight shining in the room. I have been out for too long.

I looked down curiously at a brown-haired boy holding my hand while sleeping. He had his head layed down on my hospital bed and he was sat down on a little sofa. He was holding my hand tightly. 

Poor boy, he must be uncomfortable.

Unintentionally I tightened my hand and woke him up.

-I'm sorry I wake you up. - I whispered to him.

He looked up at me with a tired face and deep green eyes glowing.

"He's that boy from the kiss."  I started to feel weird. I blushed for no reason

-Go back to sleep. - I quietly said to him.

He nodded and lowered his head again, but  raised it again blinking at me a few times and his eyes glowing a bit more and looking a little surprised.

- You are wake. - he stated, looking at me hopefully.

My heart began to speed up and the machine started doing the <beeps> more often. That trembling of my hand started again.

-I'm not going to hurt you, do you remember me? - he told me quietly, rubbing my trembling hand, calming it down.

- No...I'm sorry - I whispered, looking down at my free hand.

- It-it's okay, don't frown. - He said reassurigly looking at me, but with a hint of disappointment in his british accent.

-Why am I in the hospital? What happened to me? - I hesitantly asked the boy.

- A car hit you and then ran away. - He stated almost whispering, with anger in his beautiful eyes.

- What's your name?

- Nick - he responded, his expressions softening. 

It started to thunder and I instantly winced. He noticed and tucked the blanket, calming me down.

I turned my eyes to met his and smiled.

-Do you want me to go get you an extra blanket? - he asked letting go of my hand and getting up

" He noticed you were cold. "  A little voice in my head said quietly as if it was waiting for me to respond.

- Sure. 

-I'll be right back. - he told me, leaving quickly.

" Why aren't you scared of him? You don't know him." The little voice spoke again.

It was strange, but I wasn't scared of him, he brought me a sense of calmness and butterflies.I had the feeling I knew him for a long time.

I started to shake uncontrollably and saw lots of doctors around me and Nick behind them dropping the blankets and running towards me.

I blacked out.
