FLASHBACK:
- No! No, no no, no. No! Damien? No. - I screamed knowing what had happened while crawling back to them and checked for signs of life. - Damien? - tears began to rush on my face as I looked over Damien.
- Ja-Jade, I'm p-proud of y-you. - he whispered with blood coming out of his mouth and then closing his sparkly blue eyes.
-No, no. No,you are gonna get through this, wake up. Wake up. - I couldn't even breathe right. I became even more a mess than I already was by that time - Please Damien, wake up. Don't do this to me. I need you here.
The shooting had stopped and Harry was passed out.
Nick ran throught the door and glanced to Damien and then looked at me. I my whole body was trembling in a state of shock and shook my head to let him know Damien had not survive.
He stared at me and tears were forming in his eyes.
- D-Dami-ien di-died Nick. - I sobbed and cried uncontrollably looking with a blurry sight from the tears to Damien.

At Damien's funeral everyone was in complete silent.
It's usual and normal for funeral's to be quiet, it's not exactly a party you want to attend, but this type of silence was different. It was dead silence.
Not a sound of leaves being taken by the wind, not a bird singing or crickets chirping. Nothing. Even the sky was grey. It wasn't going to rain, but it was reallly grey.
Only the muffled hum of sighs and sobs.
I couldn't cry. I couldn't make a sound. I could not feel. I was entirely numb. Drowning in numbness, I watched as the priest read the Holy Bible over his casket and prayed something in latin.
Everything was like an echo to me, all a blur. I couldn't really concentrate on anything.
I put my hands into the pocket of my leather jacket, because I was cold.
There were so many people here. All of Damien's family and friends. Some extended family members I didn't know.
And of course, Dianna, Raphael and Nick. All dressed in black. I would have invited Harry but he was still in the hospital.
Next to me was Nick, who took a swift glance at me.
My facial expression was unreadable from the numbness. It's been like this since... that night.
Nick's eyebrows furrowed, worried. He put a hand over my shoulder and I trembled under his touch.
- I'm sorry.. I was just trying to... - he looked at me concerned.
Knowing he was just trying to comfort me, I nodded.
Damien was always the person I would turn to when I didn't have Nick. Now I've got none of them.
Nick's touch felt wrong right now. No one's touch or kind word could be comforting right now.
They weren't Damien's warm hands or his soft voice. It wasn't him, whispering to me that everything would be okay.
This last few days were horrible. Everyone was fighting about if they should put me in a hospice or not. Damien's family decided we should arrange the funeral because we "would know better what he liked", and that didn't help.
More decisions to make. I couldn't even move without thinking about that night. Police cars everywhere around Harry's house. Lights and shadows. The paramedics cleaned my face and hands and put a blanket over me. They tried to ask me questions like "Are you hurt? What happened? Did you see the shooter?". I didn't answer any of them, I couldn't. I didn't have the strength to respond to them.
