FLASHBACK:

- Ready to party tonight?! - she rhetorically asked with a grin.

- Yeah. - I forced a smile.

-C'mon Jade! Cooperate with me! Say that with a bit more confidence!

- Yeah, I'm ready to party like a wild beast tonight! - I repeated, this time with more confidence.

- See, like that.

Evelyn was hiding something. She was smiling too damn much than usual, her fingers tapped lightly in her legs and she was in a bit of rush.

Ten minutes later we arrived. The parking lot was a little full but we managed to find a good spot next to a black SUV. It reminded me of Harry's.

We got out of the car, entered the club and quickly found some other friends there.

All of us were chatting when I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, when I turned around to see who it was I saw Harry.

-Harry! You left the hospital! - I yelled hugging him.

CURRENTLY:

- Yeah, this morning after you left, the doctor came in and said I was much better and I could leave the hospital. He also said I have to be careful not to open the sutures and don't make heavy liftings with the stitches still so fresh. - Harry quietly spoke with enthusiasm his voice and a smile on his face.

- You could've said something. I would have gone to get you. - I replied hitting him lightly on his shoulder. - I think the doctor said  " no efforts " Harry!

- Do not be mad with him,it was me who drove him here. He didn't make an effort getting here. - a familiar voice behind me stated calmly.

I turned around to see who it was.

- Nick. I should've have guessed you were hiding something! - I said hugging him quickly.

I felt something while I was hugging him.

The comfortable and security feeling he used to give me when we dated and when he was about to leave to his "business" trips. That is what I felt.

" You don't date anymore, so just leave it. Forget him."

No.

- Jade, I need to talk to you later. - he squeezed my waist whipered in my ear while hugging me.

"Sure" I mouthed him.

- Harry what would you like to drink? - I questioned him, trying to avoid him making any efforts.

- It's your turn to surprise me. - he slowly spoke, as usual.

**

Later on, when everyone was talking or distracted dancing, Nick gently grabbed my arm and led me to the back of the bar, outside.

- Is everything okay? - I carefully watched his face.

- Jade, I... - he took a while and I was getting petulant.

- You.. - I encoureged him to continued.

- They called me. - My hand flew to my mouth as soon as he finished saying those words. - I have to be in Ireland in one week. I have to go. - his gaze carefully scanned mine.

I was right, he's leaving.

- And are you going?

"WTF?! What kind of question is that? Of course he's gonna go Jade. It's his job." My mind grumbled.
