Chapter 30 - In the Dark

FLASHBACK:

- Let me out of here now! - I screamed to him, but he just  laughed and pulled his arm back and hit me in the face with force.

He busted my recently busted lip, I was bleeding a lot from the lip.

- I told you. You better cooperate for your own good. Here's some food.

-You have to untie me to this chair. - I said.

-You are right. 

He untied me to the chair and grabbed me. I tried to fight him, but he was too strong.

He chained me to a pipe in the ground and trew me a sandwich wrapped in cling film like I was some kind of starving animal.

- I wont eat this. How can I tell this doesn't have poison to kill me?

- Looks like we have a smart one. First of all, if I wished to kill I would have killed you when I hit you with the car, second I need you alive. - He smirked and chuckled - We are gonna have so much fun.

CURRENTLY:

His smile was making me sick. He finally left the room and I watched the sandwich for signs of poison.

RAPHAEL'S POV: 

I realized I had an effect on her, but it's not like the other girls. She doesn't flirt with me, doesn't giggle and does not have the patience for me.

- Hey guys, I did not know i missed so much burgers until now. They are delicious. - Dianna said with a huge grin on her face.

I thought about making some kind of joke about it, but I would be mean to her. I don't want to hurt her feelings.

"Why don't we wanna hurt her feelings, mate?" My ego asked me. 

Oh, well, I-I don't know?. This came out like a sort of question instead of a firm answer to my mind.

Damien chuckled.

- What are you thinking Damien? - I asked utterly interested.

- Aww, you two should date. - Dianna mocked - What are you thinking Damien?- she tried to mimic my tone of voice.

- Shut up Di - Damien said trying not to laugh. Wow I felt jealousy burning in the pit of my stomach. Just control yourself - and Raphael, I thought about one time I brought Jade here and she said the same thing. - he said with his eyes glowing, turning them a bit more blue than they were before.

"He likes Jade. And so does Nick. Shit, this is more complicated than I thought." My mind spoke once again.

Nick's eyes became a darker shade of green while Damien talked about Jade.

-We have to hurry up a check on her, she's probably bored because she does not have someone to talk to. - Nick told us.

Everybody nodded their heads.

 We ate faster, payed our meals and left the shopping.

-Are you going with me? - Damien asked Dianna.

- No, I'm going with Raphael. - she told him glancing at me and then glancing back at Damien.

Nick had an idea of what was going on and chuckled.

Damien nodded silently and went rapidly into his car. Nick did the same thing.

From the group, only remained the two of us.

-Who told you I would give you a ride? - I teased.

She rolled back her eyes before answering my stupid question.

- Well, you couldn't say no to a girl so pretty like me. - She snapped at me, smiling.

- Get over yourself. - I laughed.

JADE'S POV:

It ought to have spent some time, maybe six hours. The man had not come back yet. It was dark, but I could see well.

I touch my lip to see if I was still bleeding and I was not. I was in pain. Correction. I was painfully numb.

My whole body hurted so much, all I could think about was, what if they believed in Claire. I would be stuck in here for..who knows how long.

The door opened and squeacked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

Claire entered the room.

-Please, please let me go.. - I whimpered.

-Love, you have to stay - she said and then laughed at my face. She grabbed me by my hair hurting me a lot.

" Are you really letting this fake bitch hurt you she like that?"  What was left of my pride spat.

No. 

 I still had pride. I spit on her face. Maybe I shoudn't have done that,but I was too angry to care.

-You stupid child!

She slapped me once and put me in the ground and started kicking me. I started to cough up blood. The man also entered the room.

 He ran towards her making her stop. He held her by her neck and pushed her against the wall. I could see she was struggling to breathe.

While he was distracted I looked quietly for something that could release me. Nothing. I dropped my eyes to the floor. I remembered that I had hooks in my hair. I had robbed once Nick's house, strange as it may seem. I always were a bit rebel. It's something that I'm not very proud of but sometimes it was useful.

- We need her alive! She the only opportunity to hurt Nick. - he spoke dangerously slow and low - If you touch her one more time I will fucking kill you. - he growled at her.

-But... - she tried to speak, but was cutted off by the man.

-Go! Now!
