FLASHBACK:

- Let me see.. you have an informatic genius by your side. - I said smiling.

She chuckle and smiled back.

- Then do something.

We stopped by a pharmacie and I turned off all the security cameras and opened the door with my phone. We got out of the car and quickly entered the pharmacie.

- Take some morphine and other pain killers. - I said.

- Right, while you are in the condom section?! - she told, pointing at the box of condoms I had in my hand.

- What? A man gotta be prepared for any "surprise" that may or may not happen! And while we are here at least let me take some advantage in that. It's free. - I said chuckling and raising my hands laughing.

- You are such a moron.. - she said chuckling while looking for the morphine in a glass cabinet.

CURRENTLY:

Do you prefer strawberry or watermelon? - I cheekily asked.

- Strawberry.. why? -  there was a moment of silence before she realised what I was talking about - Oh!  Stop it! That's not funny I thought you were talking about the actual fruits. - she complained throwing a knife, which that just does not pass through me by a little bit. - This was just a warning. Next time it will hit you, so shut up. - she said trying to keep a serious face.

- Fine strawberry it is. - I whispered taking the knife out of the wall and putting it in my pocket.

I think she heard me because she glared at me for a couple seconds.

- We have to hurry.

- Are you ready? - I whispered.

She nodded and started leaving the pharmacie.

NICK'S POV:

While sat down on the couch I had a great idea.

A bonfire. I used some wood that was stacked next to the fired place and made a bonfire.

I watched as the logs burned, making little sparks in the middle of the fire. The wood was slowly disappearing and the fire, a couple hours later, went from bright red, orange and yellow to a bit blue and light purple, and much less stronger than before.

The scotch was in ice and in front of me, it was an aged scotch. Scotch is much better when aged a few years. I looked at the almost empty crystal glass and made the rest of drink swirl in the glass, thinking about the last few days.

Got up, filled the glass again and went outside, with the bottle of whisky and the glass, near the pool.

I put the whisky bottle on the ground next to me and sat down on a dark blue puff, righ next to a plant and the pool, my feet were in the water and the drink was in my hand ready to be poured down my throat.

My mind began to wander again.

"It's all you fault".

" If you had really died she wasn't in this situation and she wouldn't had suffered like this".

" You only hurt her".

The little voices said, but maybe I was just too tired and it was all part of my imagination. I drank the scotch in my glass trying to let it all go away, trying to forget. It wasn't stopping.

I drank untill the bottle was nearly empty, the voices were now whispering, it worked a bit. That's not bad, But I was getting more upset by the minute.

After all, it was my fault. If I had done a proper job, this wouldn't have happened. She wouldn't have been almost killed and she would remember me.

I looked at the bottom of the glass and saw my reflection. It was making me sick, so I threw the glass across the swimming pool and watched it break, almost like in slow motion. Then, I grabbed the bottle with still a bit of alcohol, but it slipped away from my fingers and broke next to my chair.

"Fuck"  I thought getting angry at myself for letting the bottle fall. I was angry, but suddendly tears began to fall. I felt so guilty.

"You can cry all you want, but you know, the fact that the bottle fell it was because of you. And Jade going through all this, it is also your fault. It's always going to be your fault".

I got on my knees and gathered a few bits of glass from the bottle, so I didn't hurt myself when leaving, but I only could see blur because of the tears and a chunk of glass cut my hand unintentionally.

Finally, I finished gathering the glasses with one hand and went to the kitchen to grad a paper towel to wrap around the bloody palm of my hand, when I heard Raphael and Dianna arrive home. I cleared my throat before speaking and tried to hide the " crying voice " and the sobs.

- Why did you took so long? - I questioned them with my back facing towards them.

-They  were all closed, I had to use my technological skills - He said laughing his ass off, making me wander if it had happened something between him and Dianna - and break into a pharmacie.

- Seriously, we took so long because he was picking flavour - she stuttered, chuckling - flavoured condoms.

I laughed and she started laughing too. Raphael was probably red and pissed at her.

-Anyway, Jade fell asleep, but keep the pills near. She might need them when she wakes up.

- Thanks for everything. - Dianna honestly said.

- You don't need to thank me. Now go to bed. It's late.

-That was what I was about to do. - She admitted. - Goodnight.

- Goodnight. Raphael where are you going to sleep?

- With Dianna.- He winked at me, making me really confused. Did something happened in the pharmacie? I wasn't really understanding him.

- With who??? - Dianna whispered taken by surprise and coming closer to Raphael.
