"Alright," Miyoko says taking a deep breath. "Aimee, I need to you to be our watch girl just in case one of the grievers decides to come back, and Rachel you and I are going to check out the cliff." She says and both girls nod.

"It seemed like the grievers came from the cliff, which means that there has to be an opening somewhere." Rachel says holding the flashlight for Miyoko as they look over the black hole.

"I really hope you are right stick." Miyoko says squinting to try to see if anything is visible but to no avail. "Hand me the rocks in my backpack, there's no way we are just going in."

Miyoko throws a rock into the black abyss and together they listen intently annotating anything that might be helpful. Some rocks bounced off while other seemed to disappear into thin air.

Once they are are done, Miyoko lets out a sigh and takes the notes from Rachel.

"Alright then," Miyoko says examining the notes, "according to our notes there is a small opening that we can use but we need to be care-"

"Guys," Aimee says with a slightly alarmed tone, "I can hear them, they are coming back." She says and they look at her.

"Alright, let's go." Miyoko says quickly packing up their stuff.

As they return to their original hideout Rachel stops. "Wait." She says.

"What is it?" Miyoko asks.

"We can confirm our theory if we watch the grievers go down the griever hole." Rachel says and Miyoko looks at the ground thinking.

"You're crazy stick, but it's better to confirm with the grievers rather than ourselves."

As they watch the grievers, they see something unexpected, one of the grievers is carrying one of the girls but they can't tell who it is.

Miyoko takes a deep breath and looks away, while Rachel watches the grievers disappear, confirming their theory.

Without another word, the three girls start running back to the stade.

"They're back." Aris says pointing at the giant opened doors. As the girls reach the condos they drop their stuff on the ground, sitting on the floor.

Eliza immediately hands them water while everyone gathers around.

"So," Harriet says sitting in one of the beds. "What did you find?"

"The new stick was right." Miyoko says looking at her with a small smile. "We found a way out...." She says pausing and a few girls let out gasps, "but," she says looking at the ground, "our exit is the way the grievers use to enter and exit the maze."

"Well, we knew this could happen so we have been working on a plan." Harriet says and looks at Sonya.

"We can form smaller groups let by different runners and go in once the grievers come looking for us." Sonya says.

"We already packed what we need along with a the weapons we could find and Hanna helped us to create some shields to protect us." Harriet says and looks at the girls. "Is there anyone that objects?" The girls stay quiet and just look at each other.

"Alright sticks, I know it's dangerous, but I also know that you are strong and though and we will definitely get out of here today." Harriet says.

The girls stand up looking more confident than before and get their stuff ready.
"Let's go, and stick to the plan." Harriet says and the girls respond with a 'fancy that' and start dividing into the designated smaller groups.

The girls took the change knowing that the grievers were gone for the moment and starting heading for the cliff with raising hearts.

The maze was huge but they knew that the grievers only had one goal now, and they used that to their advantage.

As Harriet's group is about to leave, Ximena stands in their way.

"Move stick." Harriet says firmly.

"I'm not here to fight Harriet." Ximena says lifting her hands in surrender. "I'm coming with you."

"What made you change your mind?" Harriet asks giving her a suspicious look.

Ximena looks down and answers. "Beth's gone, and I don't want to stay behind."

"Alright stick, but if you try anything-"

"I won't." Ximena says and Harriet nods.

Everyone is quiet as they walk through the haunted halls of the maze, walking close to each other.

Any little noise they heard, immediately sent them into defense mode, making the atmosphere really tense.

After what seems like an eternity, Harriet's group is the first one to reach the cliff, slowly followed by the other groups.

Using the Ivy, the girl hide and wait until they hear the sound of the grievers leaving.

"What if it's a trap?" Sonya whispers to Harriet.

"I've been thinking the same thing, but this is our best chance." Harriet whispers back standing up.

"Alright sticks." Harriet says once the groups meet near the cliff. "The grievers are gone so let's get to work. Let's make a path for Aris and Rachel since they know the code, hopefully we get done before they come back."

Aris and Rachel make their way to the front and stand on the edge of the cliff.

Are you ready? Aris asks and Rachel lets out a breath.

Too late to go back now. She replies with a small smile. Let's go.

Together they descend into the darkness and use a small flashlight to look around.
