This a pert two for a short I wrote awhile back. So, hope you enjoy!

Tw: Death and Violence

Screams followed soon after gunshots. Alarm Bells rang harshly throughout the building. She was unstoppable. No one had close to the same level of wit as her’s. It only took five minutes to reach the room her son was being held captive. She kicked the door in. Evan jumped and Connor pulled out a gun.

“Hand my son over and no one gets hurt,” She aims directly at Connor.

Connor chuckles, “It's a little too late for that. Besides, you want your son don't you?” Connor pulles Evan into a head lock and rests the gun against his head.

Evan tenses up and tears quietly fall down his face.

Connor moved before Heidi shot at him, “Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. That wasn't very nice.”

“Hand my son over!”

“Or you'll what?”

Someone passes in the hallway and Heidi shoots them.

Connor chuckles, “You think that scares me?”

“Give me back my son! Now!”

“P-please?” Evan pleads, “Just let me go!”

Connor hesitates before untying Evan.

Evan runs over to his mother and clings to her waist.

Heidi wraps an arm around her son. She looks at Connor, “If you touch my son again, you're dead!”

Heidi takes Evan home.

Heidi closes the door and Evan stops in the middle of the living room.

“Evan, honey? You wanna talk about it?”

“Why?”

“Well, you look scared and maybe talking about for a bit will-”

“No,” Evan cuts off his mother, “Why did you kill all those innocent people?” He turns to face her.

“Oh, honey. They had you brainwashed. They were bad people.”

“Five to seven year old children? In the ballet studio? One hundred people killed and twenty injured in the office bombing downtown? Mothers, fathers, daughters and sons suffered and died all because of you!”

Heidi was silent for a few moments before saying, “Evan, they were all bad people.”

“Bull shit!”

Heidi takes a step back. Evan never swears.

“Evan…”

Evan walks towards his mom and hugs her, “I'm sorry, mom.”

“It's okay, honey,” Heidi wraps her arms around Evan.

Evan pulls out a retractable knife and stabs her in the back. Heidi’s body falls to the floor limp.

Evan presses the button on his earpiece, “Target eliminated. Send in the clean up team.”

He watches as blood pours out of her body from the stab wound.

Connor leans on the table, “Back on the topic of your mother. You'd be perfect to annihilate her.”

“W-what?! No! I, I, I can't do that!”

“Do you know how many more innocent people could die if we don't stop her?!”

“I, I know, but. I can't! She's my mom!”

“She's a monster!”

The room goes silent for a few minutes. While Evan’s thinking, Connor starts placing out the basic gear for a new recruit. Evan watches carefully.

When Connor finishes, he sits back in his chair. He waits a few nor minutes before finally asking, “So, Evan Hansen? You ready to be part of our youth team?”

“Youth team?”

“The youngest employees here are referred to as our youth team. Fifteen to eighteen is the ages we recrute.”

Evan thinks for one last minute, “Alright, let's go.”

Connor unties Evan and debriefs him, “So the plan is to get someone to get inside the house, you're a perfect fit as her sons, make sure she's finished for good.”

“You mean by killing her? Right?”

“Right.”

Evan sighs.

“It's not going to be easy.”

“I know.”

Connor gets Evan ready for his first mission. Connor placed the ear piece I Evan's ear and out of three weapons, Evan chooses the retractable knife.

Connor ties Evan to the chair again, “She’s gonna come bursting in here at any moment. When she does, you know nothing about this agency. You are the same as when you came, innocent and uninvolved.”

Evan nods, “got it!”

Connor grabs a gun off the table and hides the third weapon. When he hears a body fall to the floor outside the door, co no gets in position with Evan in a headlock and a gun against his head. The door bursts in.

The clean up team has been working hard for half an hour trying to get the big blood stain out the carpet when Connor walks in.

“I would have thought you'd do it in the kitchen, or somewhere with hardwood,” Connor looks at the stain.

“I-I just wanted to get it over with…”

“Well congrats on succeeding your first mission.”

“Thanks, but. Where, where would I live now?”

“With a relative. You just behave as if you had nothing to do with us. We already have a cause, and faux documents. Died in a car accident.”

“Good story.”

“We have a cause, it's up to you to make the story.”

“Oh…”

Connor pats Evan's back, “Anyway, want to go for dinner?”

Evan looks up him, “Yes!”
