<Back of my mind- Two feet>
I'm tryin' to help myself feel ok
I know I won't be today
All of these thoughts will never go away
I guess I shouldn't complain
<Bad liar- Selena Gomez>
I see how your attention builds
It's like looking in a mirror
Your touch like a happy pill
But still all we do is fear
What could possibly happen next?
Can we focus on the love?

This chapter is Ethan's point of view on his first day of school with Olivia.

"WHERE'S THE CAFETERIA AT?" I ASKED, running my hands along the cold metal of the lockers.
"How would I know?" Grayson scoffed, grabbing a piece of paper and reading the numbers off of it.
"I hate being new," I mumbled as he unlocked his locker, then stuffed the paper back into his pocket.
"We're meeting new people, E. A fresh start is good, especially...especially because of..." his eyes drifted off to the side, probably recalling the bitch back in our old town. He chewed on his bottom lip, fiddling his fingers. "Just accept defeat, we're at a new school and you can't do anything about it." He said, snapping himself out of his thoughts.
"Did you hear about the party this guy is throwing on Sunday?" I asked, placing my forehead on the lockers and pretending to bang it. "I don't understand the point of why someone would invite people to their house to steal their drinks and trash their house." Grayson softly chuckled as I looked back to him.
"Yeah, I heard about it. I'm pretty sure the guy throwing it is friends with Olivia. He was talking about her this morning, something about their friendship and shit." He shrugged, digging through his new locker.
I hummed in response. "What's your opinion on Olivia?" The question was also never really answered by myself.
"She seems nice," he pulled his backpack to his chest and stuffed books into the metal container. "What about you?"
"She's okay. Kinda quiet...except when you threw that football at her nose," I chortled when Grayson gave me the death glare. "But I'm more concerned if she'll snitch to mom about the shit we do at school, y'know." He nodded slowly, shutting the locker and turning to me while pushing his bag onto his back.
"I don't think she would. I mean, she didn't tell her mom about me throwing a football into her face. She saved our asses and wasn't even asked to."
"I guess," we walked together down the hallway. "Hey, guess what I found out."
"What?"
"Remember the NASCAR racer, Sal Yeptin?"
"No,"
"Bro!" I punched his shoulder, "you remember. C'mon, you know!"
"I don't." He punched me back, but harder.
"Son of a bitch," I grunted, rolling my eyes. "Anyways, he's a NASCAR driver, very famous. I heard he moved here like a few weeks ago, isn't that cool?"
"Why would someone like that move to a town so small?" He asked, eyes trained on the floor as we walked. Now I noticed there wasn't many people in the hallway, mostly everyone was already at lunch. I just shrugged in response to his question, not caring for the reason.
