<Open your eyes- Snow Patrol>
Get up, get out, get away from these liars
'Cause they don't get your soul or your fire
Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine
And we'll walk from this dark room for the last time
<Goodbye- Billie Eilish>
Please, please
Don't leave me be
It's not true
Take me to the roof
Told you not to worry
What do you want from me?

"IT'S TOO EARLY FOR THIS," I groaned into the car window, my cheek smashed against it.
"What do you think she's doing in there?" Grayson mumbled from the front seat of the car.
"Obviously something important if she needed the both of us. Until she needs us, shut the fuck up. I'm trying to sleep," I muttered, trying to fall back into slumber until someone's phone went off.
"Shut your fucking phone off, dumb ass!" I yelled, waiting for him to turn off the stupid ringtone. "I'm going to count to three and it better stop ringing-"
"Bro, that's your phone."
"Oh," my eyes cracked open, looking down to the seat besides me to find my phone still ringing. I picked it up, seeing my mom's contact on the screen, along with the time being three A.M.
"Get inside the house and get ice from the freezer when you do." My mom said breathlessly, then hung up, causing my sleep to wash away at once.
"What was that?" Grayson turned in his seat, looking back at me.
"We have to get inside now," I groaned, opening up the car door and slipping out, trudging towards the Danes front door. I didn't bother to knock on it, deeming I didn't need to wait for someone to open the door from the call.
Grayson trailed behind me as I led us up the stairs. I've only really been upstairs in this house like three times, but hopefully in the future it'll be more.
"I'm so fucked tomorrow for school," Grayson muttered behind me as I agreed. I was peacefully asleep in my bed twenty minutes ago when my mom came bombarding into my room, telling Grayson and I to get up and into the car for assistance. I still have no idea why, but I assumed it had to do with her physiology or medical degree because when we drove to the Danes house, she kept rambling on about dreams and the brain shit.
I blocked it all out, and now all I know is that I'm here and tired. Oh shit, I need to get ice. I told Grayson to find mom while I grab ice in a bag.
Jogging down the stairs, I find the freezer and some ziplock bags from ham situation. Stuffing a bag with ice, I was about to walk back up the stairs when Olivia came barreling down them, tripping and running at full speed, eyes wide like she was currently on crack.
Her eyes met mine, but she cowered away and dodged me, running past me and out the front door, leaving me speechless. "Wha-?" I kept looking towards the stairs where she once was, and then towards the front door which was now swung open.
Grayson jogged down the stairs, "where did Olivia go?" He asked out of breath, eyes wide. I couldn't speak out of shock as I pointed towards the door, my face frozen and blank.
He ran that way as I followed behind him out of curiosity. I stood by the front door, hiding in the shadows almost as I watched Grayson interact with Olivia on the front lawn, both oblivious to me.
