<Best friend- Rex Orange County>

I could've made you mine
But no, it wasn't meant to be and see, I wasn't made for you
And you weren't made for me
Though it seemed so easy

<iloveyou- Between friends>

You light my fire like a cigarette
I see your colors
Never forget me
We travel wild
Making our own streets
Hard stop
And I feel it even more, how?

"YOU CAN STOP SUCKING UP NOW," I said, glancing at each grocery bag and huffing. Licking the inside of my cheek, I crouched down and picked up the first bag.

"Why do you say that?"

"No normal teenager would actually want to do this..." I quirked a brow in his direction, waiting for a reply as I began grabbing three more bags and hanging them onto my arms.

Ethan was acting weird today and it was scaring me. Some part of me believed he was playing a prank on me, another thought he was actually becoming insane.

"...unless the wanted to suck up to someone," I glanced at him, waiting for another precious laugh to fall from his lips like earlier. I think when he laughed it was the first time I didn't fully swoon, but it made me happy he was smiling.

He doesn't smile often enough and that's a shame.

What did he have to frown about?

He was hot, he's popular, he's liked, he's respected and had a hot girlfriend—that in my opinion wasn't that hot (but that's just the jealousy talking).

I didn't realize I was staring at him until he smirked lightly, and I caught him doing the same thing. Rolling my eyes, I picked up my bags and moved towards the front door until I stopped in my steps to watch him pick up bags, also.

"I already said it, Ethan. My mom isn't here, you can go home."

"But I want to help." He shrugged. SEE! I should get him to an institution! The normal Ethan wouldn't speak to me and wouldn't dare to help a peasant that didn't offer him candies.

I stared into his eyes once more, chewing the inside of my cheek. I couldn't tell what he was thinking; his blank features didn't give a single clue.

What is he planning?

His eyes...they were doing that thing again, and it's rare until recently. I wondered if he knew they were doing that, but shook it off, looking towards the front door and continuing walking in.

"LOSER!" A gust of wind past me as I stood in place, closing my eyes and bracing myself for the end of the world. "SLOW LOSER!" Another blow of wind brushing against my skin startled me as I twisted around in instinct.

Slowly, I cracked one eye open to see the Ethan Dolan pushing grocery bags onto his arms, nine on each one, and squinting his eyes at the cement floor as if he was concentrated.
